Kalye't-Kusina Resto — Restaurant in Davao City

The food is better than some other casual restos I've been at, probably the best Mozzarella chicken dish I've had in the past months I can remember, they're said to be Australian-recipe compliant and the City has very limited restos serving the like.

Not really a perfect place to be for a vegetarian as they don't serve veggies (despite they have veggie salad on the menu). Unless you are a chicken-only lover, this won't be the happy place for you as their resto is for improvement to serve other meats like beef and pork (good news for strictly halal-only foodies they probably have an advantage for not having pork near the kitchen, just probably).

They are yet to update the time of operation, it closes at 9PM not really 10PM as what they say on advertisements, opens at 10:30AM. The food serving is just appropriate for the price, if you're up for the taste quality, go ahead and try...

Aussie comfort food at its finest.

The ultimate cheese chicken surely lives up to its "ultimate" epithet. Cheese galore. Definitely not for the lactose intolerant.

Country fried steak can be tricky to cook properly, but with constant fresh ingredients, quality will be consistent.

The winning points, however, were the staff and the owner. The lady that served us was deeply knowledgeable in their menu, and waited on us with not many do lately... a smile.

We were also able to have a good chat with the owner who gave us a basic rundown of their operation, and you can see the love and efficiency he puts...

More than the food is the great hospitability of the people in Kalye’t Kusina. Very hands-on with me and everyone in the resto. The service equally match the great food I’ve tasted. I ordered two kind of chicken, Mozzarella Korean Chicken and Ultimate Cheese Chicken, and I will not mind any possibility of lactose intolerance because the cheese compliments well with the chicken. It was a cheesy blast!

Truly a 5-Star experience. You would be surprised with how low your bill is! Quality and quantity not sacrificed despite the low price. Please do try their awesome dishes.
