Penong's - Matina — Restaurant in Davao City

Such a not family friendly environment. We ate there as a family for the first time and will never come back to this matina branch. Very far different in service at the matina aplaya branch. Servers in this branch are such very arrogant who will not even atain what customers needs and just look at you like they don't even see you nor hear you. Serve us food without any water in the table even until we're all done eating still did not gave us any and just let us look at them serving water and drinks in other tables who just sat down after us from start to finish. We even tried to asked them our drink which is included in inato 3 dish and ask to include water for us to drink after eating, we asked them four times but still refused to give us any water lol Such a weird crappy staff/ servers you have Penongs Matina branch! Such a very bad first time experience all the way from US customers, we always love to leave tips but that night we had a very unprofessional servers who still needs to be trained more how to handle customers in a right way. Hope you'll address this concern with your lots/ a packed of staff who just stood up doing chit chat together on the side and just watch the customers and don't care what customers needs. Dined here twice, the experience between the two is too different. The servers don't pay attention to customers. On my first visit, they were bearable but the second one was too much. They offer unlimited rice but no one was actually serving it, waited 5 mins before I got my refill. I had to clap multiple times to get their attention and it was frustrating. Don't dine here, better go to other restaurants if you want to be satisfied with your meal. First time going at this store. Guard was great kasi bumabati with a smiling face. They have bata na staff that are also paying attention. Those middle aged staff are not. They’re not friendly, they see you clapping kasi yun yung instruction mag clap if may need. But tend to ignore you. I ordered inato 5 with drink then when I followed up, the middle aged staff blamed me kasi sabi ko daw walang drinks.
