I used to like this place for working with group projects or maybe just studying alone. The ambiance is quite cozy especially the 2nd Floor area and the coffee itself is quite good, my favorite being the Cookies and Cream Frappe and Cappuccino, but for some reason, I’ve been noticing something different over time as I visit the place that seems to bother me. I once went here last Sunday 7th of July and they don’t have any internet connection since I was planning to do my research paper but I just nodded it fine and accepted it cause it was the day where the whole city had to suffer some power outage. They’re probably just running on a generator or something. But when I came back on the next week, 14th of July rather, they didn’t have any wifi which was a big disappointment on my part since I was planning to write some script and do some homework. They also got rid of the couch on the 2nd floor and that was a special place since it could fit more than 7 people, and I had some memories of me doing some script practice on that area but they seem to have got rid of it and replaced it with the normal “chair and table” style. Overall I considered this cafe as a great place to study with friends or just by myself since the ambiance was quite good and it just feels cozy. This could improve though, just bring back that couch on the 2nd floor, change your internet carrier if the issue of your wifi is always imminent and one suggestion is it would be nice if we could at least get a plug to charge our devices, the other Bean Connection in SUMC allowed it even though it was paid but that’s fine as long as I could get to charge my devices. This place could maybe improve so that I could bring it back to my “great cafe’s to study” list.

This branch in Port West Building is spacious and well-maintained. Its interiors are obviously designed with the youth in mind, thus, the pop culture decors that adorn most of its walls. The burgers here have significantly improved in terms of taste and size. Although the crew members are pleasant, well-mannered, and alert, they are not trained to not serve plastic straws when customers do not ask for one. Plastic straws should only be served upon request since many customers these days (like myself) bring their own reusable straws. In a time when plastic pollution is a worsening problem in all cities across the nation, every establishment must do its share of minimizing its reliance on single-use plastics/disposables—especially for customers who are just dining in.

location wise, it is within the silliman campus. perfect location for parents&students to hang around while waiting for their campus transaction/class. just beside security bank, mercury pharmacy, laundry shop, xerox copier, and 3 ATM machines. just next bldg to hibbard hall where registrar office is located. for the bowl meal, this time i ordered spicy tuna which is a bit pricey considering the amount of food on the bowl at 85 pesos and americano coffee at 65.

My 3rd home (house, school, then TBC) during my college days. I just love this place. Not only because it's nearest Silliman, but because the atmosphere there keeps me sedated after a long stressful day at school. Also, it's a good substitute for the Library at times when I don't feel like working in a quiet place. Food is awesome and affordable, my personal faves would be their Snickerdoodle Cookies, Super Moist Chocolate, Caramel Frappe, and most esp Mango Float Frappe :)

Costumer service? Very good. Idk, i just feel na ang friendly nila. haha.

Downside, WiFi connection is troublesome. Luckily, I don't often work there with internet...
