THERY'S Burgers, Fries & Shakes — Restaurant in El Nido

The prices are highly above average and they try to justify that by the fact that the ingredients are so expensive. But other restaurants in the area have far better deals and the pricing is far more customer-friendly. The quality and preparation of the burger certainly does not justify the price, there is no longer a combo, even if it looks that way on google with the old menu, everything is charged extra. So my burger with 2 patties, fries and a soft drink came to over 600 pesos, which by Philippine standards simply can not be justified, for this price you can feed a whole family in a Philippine restaurant, also in El Nido, which of course is rather out of the way the tourist trail in places where the locals go, but it is possible and also for half of this price you can find a better burger with french fries somewhere else. I just stay there to eat because i was in the mood for a burger and in a rush and there was not realy time for me to cancel my order after they tell me the total price and go to find something other. When I was trying to criticize the pricing, the reaction was immediately snappy and then, with the rude farewell when I was leaving the restaurant it was made clear again that any kind of criticism is undesirable there. For this customer non-friendly behavior i give zero stars and for the burger it self maybe 2 or 3 stars, for sure not 4 or 5. With all the 5 star reviews i am not sure how much of them are fake, i guess all of them, nowadays easy to get for small money online to push a business like that. For all reviews with critizism there are just excuses without admitting that something is simply wrong by their side. I will never visit this restaurant again and can not recommend to anybody else a visit there, unless you don't care about prices or quality and you only look for a place to get full for...

This is the best place to eat in El Nido and the best burger and fries on this side of the planet. It's a build-your-own burger with a surprising number of options, fresh and delicious ingredients, made to order on the spot, with fresh cut crispy fries. I've been homesick for a good burger and fries and tried half a dozen places from Singapore to the Philippines, but nothing else came close to hitting the spot. My friends and I were having dinner at the place next-door, I tried to order their burger, but after waiting an hour for the food, they brought out everything expect mine and told us they didn't have the burger. Fortunately I went over to Thery's instead, and in 5 minutes I had exactly what I'd been searching for. Though I really can't think of a better burger I ever had back in the US either. I went back every day I was in El Nido and had all my friends get burgers and fries for the van ride back to the airport. I can't recommend this place highly enough, especially if you have to drive back to Puerto Princesa, burgers are prefect for the ride and they're infinitely better than anything you'll find on the way or at the airport. And aside from the food, the locale and ambiance are great, the owners were so friendly and kind. Without me saying a word, they recognized me and welcomed me back when I came again the next day. I'm sure their shakes and everything else they serve is fantastic, but I just couldn't get enough of those burgers. 10/10, 100/100, I can't say enough good things about this place, and if I ever make it back to El Nido, this is...

priciest food we had in Philippines based on amount and quality = little food and not good. 2 double burgers, 1 large french fry, 1 coke, 1 small banans smoothie 1100php. That is pricier than burger king in Europe and quality is nowhere near. we sat downstairs, table was very dirty from road dust. Waitress dried it off with a dirty cloth (grey from dirt). We dried it off ourselves after that with wet napkins which went brown. Not that fresh, i wonder how many germs were in that cloth :-S

Meat has loads of cartridge (prepare a spit cup) and not very tasty. cheese, what cheese? Even when adding extra cheese for 50pesos you barely see the cheese. toppings is a joke (you choose 3). 2 tiny slices of tomato (cherry size diameter), 2 tiny jalapeno slices and a small amount of chopped onion Double burger is 2*120g according to personell but not likely as a double whopper is filling, this "double patty" is just a munch in comparison. french fries not crisp, soft and barely done and salted like crazy Banana smoothie tasted like ice water with chunks of banana.
