Chowking — Restaurant in General Santos

The only stand-alone Chowking Restaurant in the city, this one is a good place to have your fill of chinese lauriat even nearing midnight. Place is almost always packed especially during peak hours when your ordered food takes long to be delivered to your table. Still, they serve great Chinese food anytime of the day and that's what makes it special. Must eats are their chao fan with siomai, the Chinese fried chicken that are crackingly crisp and tasty, their healthy and delectable fried tofu and my ultimate favorite, the sweet and sour pork which just has the right sweetness to it... the sauce is fingerlicky to-die-for. Of course, there's their iconic halo-halo which is the best thing that ever happened to perenially sunny GenSan. My only complaint is they always ran out of the bestsellers. Poor inventory management I suppose.

UPDATE: Just discovered their Breakfast meal of Chinese Longganisa with Fried egg and I love it. Paired this with the iconic Tofu and it was...

cashier is okay, they don't serve pork or beef saying phase out na like beef wonton mami....even if nasa menu pa...and I dont know if sa kanila lang or entire GenSan ang phase out since Davao City is still offering beef wonton mami...

serving time is meh, long wait time, then to follow pa rin ang drinks, I ordered halo halo and I still have to ask for it when they served the drinks...we went here around 2pm...and I saw a lot of customers asking for their orders also.

at least food was great, the mami was not too salty like other branches that are open 24 hours.

they also offer cashless payment...

Just today i order siomai chao pan and i told them that it should be steam siomai, i order around 10:00pm this day then they give me the pending number 35 i waited a 3 mins i guess and the food i serve i haven't check the product kasi naka safety seal na sya after i went home i was going to eat the food yet they serve is fried instead of steam siomai pls double check next time yung product before i out or ibigay kay customer, always ako naga order sa inyo tapos...
