Jollibee — Restaurant in General Santos

I popped my Jollibee cherry tonight, and I went big. I ordered the Bacon Cheesy Burger, the Cheesy Dog and some fried chicken. My opinions of each are below:

Bacon Cheesy Burger - nothing special. It had mushrooms on it, which surprised me a bit. Uninspired, but not bad.

Cheesy Dog - the highlight of the feast, though the bun was processed to the point that I was worried that I was eating one of my daughter's toys.

Fried Chicken - THAT'S what that smell all over town is! I've been curious what the odd smell that permeates literally everything here was. I thought it was the smell of old processed cheese, but it's actually the fried chicken breading. The chicken was, indeed, spicy, but hard for me to eat given my strong feelings about said smell/stench.

I'm American, so if I have to choose between Mcdonalds and Jollibee, I'll always choose the former, but I'm happy that I finally gave this...

Fast service is the key element that this Jollibee has over most others. When you walk in the door the counter staff beckons you straight to the counter without having to wait for other customers to finish. The main reason for this is the fact that they keep multiple cash registers open and useable, while other Jollibees keep a maximum of one ordering lane open. The ordering process is fast as well since the order takers are fully familiar with their menu items, and too, they know what has been cooked and has no wait time. After ordering it's simply sit down at you preferred table and within minutes your food is there in front of you. The food is not exactly gourmet, shall we say, but it's hot and tasty. For those who loves to eat fast foods in Gensan, Jollibee located in Lagao is the place to go. This fast food chain is Awesome because it offers 24 hours service. So, students may hangout her from dusk to dawn doing their group meeting for group works or just for fun, chillin' and enjoying chitchat.. The service is fast and of course their fried chicken is tender, juicy and super yum. BUT for Muslims like me, sorry to say, we are not allowed to taste the gravy because rumor has it that it contains pork liver is prohibited for us.
