JD’s Cashier Needs Change - in Attitude
I went to SM City JD this September 2025 (twice), and honestly, the other Google reviews about the old lady cashier are spot on. She’s rude, dismissive, and acts like she’s doing you a favor just by scanning your items.
She doesn’t ask for coins -- she demands them. For instance, if she needs ₱4 in coins, she’ll insist that you hand her ₱4 so she can give you a ₱10 coin in return -- as if you’re part of some mandatory coin-trading program and as if it’s your responsibility to provide her change. And if you tell her you don’t have any, she’ll give you that signature “you’re useless” look -- every single time.
It’s just coins, not a national treasure. A little courtesy and professionalism would go a long way. JD, please train your senior veteran cashier because no customer deserves to feel belittled over...
Read moreI had one of the worst customer service experiences at JD SM Iloilo, all because of one cashier—the older, unpleasant-looking one. She was not only unprofessional but downright rude and dismissive. From the moment I approached the counter, her attitude was cold, unfriendly, and completely unacceptable for someone in a customer-facing role.
It’s baffling how JD allows someone with such a negative demeanor to stay in the frontline. She acted like she didn’t want to be there and made zero effort to be courteous or helpful. A cashier is the face of the store, and this one gave the worst impression possible.
If JD wants to keep their customers, they seriously need to reevaluate their staff. Being rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional has no place in customer service. That cashier is a liability to your brand.
Absolutely disappointed....
Read moreI usually lower my expectations when it comes to bakery goodies since from where I come from (Pampanga), most bakeries and their items are more of a miss than a hit. They're more into pang laman tyan rather than a pleasurable experience to one's palate. Either they're bland or mere sugar overdose. But when I tried a few of the goodies here (buko royale, cappuccino square, revel bar, apple crumble bar, red velvet chewies, Russian tea cookies), I fully understood how Iloilo is a gastro haven of the Philippines. Sweetness is on point, and unbelievably, even the price! Made me fall for Iloilo even more. Will DEFINITELY be back!!! 😍
Update: Came back to try their baked mac, macapuno bar, ube bar and lengua --- love them! Butter chewies is also good but didn't tickle my...
