Mesa Filipino Moderne — Restaurant in Iloilo City

I dont leave reviews but this one is an exception. We ordered around 730pm and were told that the waiting time would be roughly 20 mins. They made us wait 30 minutes for the food only to make us wait an additional10-15 more minutes because apparently the kitchen “Didn’t receive” the punched in order only realizing this after we followed up after 35 mins of waiting. Despite being promised the food will be expedited, we were sure that the quality of the food wouldn’t be at par with the restaurants standard so we chose to leave.This transpired at around past 8pm where most of the dining spots had their last orders done leaving us looking for another restaurant to eat. We ended up eating at around 9pm.

The food is salty. Service is bad. We ordered the Budol set C and pancit canton. We were almost finished with our food before the pancit canton arrive. I did not know that the canton can also be served as a soup. It was practically swimming in water. The taste of the canton is ok though, not as salty as the other food. Same thing happened for our dessert. My brother already finished his halo2x and mine did not arrive yet. Aside from that the staff were so loud. It was the loudest restaurant i have ever been to. Food, yes everything we ordered were delicious. Hard to mess up anyway since most of the dish we ordered were grilled meats. The restaurant is clean except that their restroom really need some major cleanup, not bad but a bit stinky and needs some renovation or upgrade. There were a lot of crews but they all are gathered together and not really attending to their customers. We only saw our server three times.
