I recently visited Log Cabin Sagada and had the opportunity to try their Carbonara and Menu V. Overall, my experience at the restaurant was a bit mixed.

Let's start with the Carbonara. The dish is prepared with the famous smoked meat of Sagada, which sounded intriguing. However, I have to admit that I was not particularly impressed with it. The flavors didn't quite come together as I had expected, and I found the overall taste to be somewhat lacking. It's possible that it simply wasn't to my personal liking, but I was hoping for a more enjoyable experience.

On the other hand, the Menu V, which consisted of a pork steak served with their house gravy, rice, and stir-fried green beans, was a pleasant surprise. The pork steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and the accompanying gravy complemented it nicely. The stir-fried green beans added a fresh and crunchy element to the meal, which I really enjoyed. This dish definitely redeemed the dining experience for me.

Now, let's talk about the ambiance. The restaurant was a bit hot when we visited during noon time. I couldn't help but wish for better ventilation or other means to cool down the space. It did have a cozy log cabin atmosphere, which added to the charm, but the discomfort caused by the heat took away from the overall enjoyment of the meal.

Despite my disappointment with the Carbonara and the uncomfortable temperature, the tasty Menu V and the cozy atmosphere helped balance the experience. I would recommend giving Log Cabin Sagada a try, but perhaps consider visiting during cooler hours of the day to enhance your...

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! The service was exceptional From the moment we arrived, the Pregnant lady was warm making the whole experience feel welcoming, attentive, and professional who recommended I try some of their specialty products — Menu 1 and menu 4 from the menu and she made me buy Sedesdem dried mushrooms, habaneros, and their homemade strawberry jam. I took her advice, and I’m so glad I did. I was not supposed to give review since this was lastweek but Every product that i brought home was incredibly flavorful and worth every peso. The mushrooms were earthy and rich, the habaneros had just the kick and goes to every food, and the jam was not overly sweet — perfect on toast or with cheese. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, I can honestly say the quality of both the dishes served and the specialty products more than justify the cost. You’re not just paying for a meal — you’re paying for premium ingredients and a memorable culinary experience. Highly recommend this place for foodies and those who appreciate local...

The best food and gastronomic experience I’ve had for the past several years.

The food is truly exceptional with flares of authentic Cordilleran flavors, and each dish is presented and explained beautifully.

The service is equally outstanding. Our server, Warren, was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The service is very hands-on and they will give you the backstory of each dish and be able to expand on anything you want to know more about. They manage to do this without being overbearing in the slightest. Not only was the service during dinner wonderful, but afterwards we were able to taste their egg tarts and took a picture with the whole group.

As a point of reference, I’m lucky enough to have been to one of the best restaurants in Sagada, and let me say Log Cabin is, without question, a good representation of modern Filipino cuisines. The food is truly exceptional and the service is equally outstanding. If you only have 1 night in Sagada then this is the place you have to go, over anything...

We were lured into the Log Cabin because of how warm and inviting it looked from the outside. We decided to wait out the considerably long queue to be seated. We ordered the ham and bolognese. Honestly, I can’t see what the fuss (the glowing reviews) is all about. If there’s one thing Log Cabin is doing right, it’s the ambience. The food? Not so much. The ham was tough which is a shame because I think the flavor was ok, the sauerkraut was just glorified thinly sliced cabbage, the pickled cucumber was so simple and bland i might as well have done it at home. The bolognese could have saved the meal but, alas, the noodles were screaming for more sauce. The toast (if you could call it that) was so dry it could probably be used as kindling. I expected more but was unfortunately left disappointed.
