Sagada Taste Restaurant — Restaurant in Luzon

It's our last day in Sagada (March 4, 2016) and we were given our own time to buy our souvenirs and check out the town. We chanced upon this restaurant which is right across a souvenir shop where we came from. My friends decided to have dinner early before we head back to our hotel. We ordered sizzling sisig and sizzling kaldereta. The sisig is fine. Just good enough when you really are starving. But the sizzling kaldereta did not even looked like kaldereta nor tasted...

They serve good lemon pie. The lemon curd was thicker and curdier, not too gelatinous. It had a tartness and bitterness that you look for in lemon pies. There was good height on the meringue that wasn’t too sweet. The crust was flaky and crumbly. They set the bar high for lemon pies and should be given the name of lemon pie...

We were looking for lemon pie around the area and luckily they are still open, and luckily the pie was delicious. The staff was also nice to cut the pie for us. We had it for dinner with wine on the side. Might try their other dishes...
