Pros: Food choices were good speciallyghe yoghurt. Staff and the family who owns the place were really friendly and nice.||Cons:1. Much more expensive than other lodges or homestay8n Sagada. Its my third time visiting Sagada and its the worst accommodation I had so far. You have to pay for your worn out towel which I usually got free from my other accommodation from before. No free breakfast either, which again I usually got from my homestay/lodges I stayed before. 2. It's a lodge, I know, but for a max occupant of the main lodge, around 32 perhaps except super peak season, maybe 40 or more, you get to have 1 bathroom in the second floor, one bathroom again within the restos at the ground floor that you would be to embarass to walk around with your towels and necessities with diners trying to enjoy their food, and a little comfort room outside the building. Say that most of you who were currently staying need to leave a specific time of the day or you have an upset stomach... you need to wait. Patiently. Quietly. Respectfully. 3. Its 1.5Km away from the town proper. No form of public utility vehicle around Sagada. No service from the lodge either. You either walk your way towards the town or stay at the lodge all the time for your meal. 4. FOOD. The food were fairly good, but that's that. Breakfast: No butter or jelly on your bread. Steak: No sauce. Fries on your burger? Dream on. 5. Summer season in Sagada us better in Metro Manila for sure. Its 10 degrees colder usually from the lowland. Still, during peak hours of summer, it is hot. And nope, you have to manuallty fan yourself way through it if you are staying inside or wanted to sleep the afternoon away, because no fan were provided at all. 6. Im speaking from my experience this time. Things might be different from the room, the season, the situation. But... their were bugs everywhere on our room. From the 3 nights we stayed there, I got nothing but new painful bug bites on my arms, legs, back and butt everytime I wake up. Big blistering painful itchy bites. There were no bug screen on the windows. Cant close the window because it would be too warm to sleep. I end up nursing my bug bites today and its really ugly looking as though Im not cleaning myself properly. I got different kind of bites, from swollen to blistering to hard and painful. But Im pretty sure some of my bites are from bed bugs, red fire ants and other I could not identify. I would post some pics of the bites I have. SOME. Not all. 7. On our second night of stay, there were two men sleeping on the hallway directly outside our room. I dont know who were they and what they were doing there, but they snore so loud, that the whole night we havent slept a wink. Im not sure if they were guest, but if they were, they shouldn't have put them directly outside our door considering there were no sound proofing and the walls were very thin that you could clearly hear people speaking on the other room. And that, it was overcrowding the place. Or they should have stayed outside the room of the group of guest they are with.||||Im giving them a single star in consideration with the very friendly staff and palatable food, but beyond that there's nothing worth commending. Go there for a visit for food, but I dont recommend that you stay there if I were to note my...

Read moreMy experience at Misty Lodge and Cafe was unsatisfying. My family and I visited this restaurant after a long day walking around town, and we chose it after reading rave reviews – only to be met with a disappointing dinner.
First, we were only a party of 6, and placed our orders at 6:55pm. At 7:55pm, only four of our twelve orders had arrived, and they only arrived by MISTAKE. This was the yogurt, two burgers, and ramen that arrived at 7:44pm. The food served to our table actually belonged to the table next to us.
Upon following up, our first pizza arrived at 8:02pm, and tapa at 8:10pm. We ordered extra bacon which the cashier confirmed was to be served on top of our second pizza – and they served it to us on a separate plate next to the tapa.
At 8:25pm, they informed us that they ran out of cheese (and therefore couldn’t serve our pizza) after AN HOUR AND A HALF of waiting. It took another 15 minutes for our refund to be taken care of. We asked the staff if they had alternative food options for us but they just wanted to refund - and that would have been fine if it wasn’t nearly two hours since we arrived.
The staff were “aligaga” and disorganized at best. They mixed up our tables and served the food to the wrong tables and the people in the tables next to us looked upset as well. No apologies from the staff either. It’s hard to look for food alternatives in Sagada at this time of night (8:30 onwards) so it was really upsetting.
The food served to us was okay though, the burgers were good, and the yogurt too. The place is beautiful as well. It’s a shame the service is terrible. I...
