Salo sa Antipolo — Restaurant in Luzon

Went to visit the place last weekend. Here are my take on their menu and place.

Place - the place is airconditioned and is cool, the ambiance is chill, the place is well lit but not too bright for the eyes. the staff are attentive that I didn't have to ask once for the refill of my glass of water as is with people with.

Even if the place is near a busy intersection, you can barely hear the noise of vehicles outside.

We ordered Chicken and Ribs, and we enjoyed the meal, they got solo meals too that comes with rice and would usually cost you between 200-300 php per person. then there are also full menu orders which are about 300-500. they also offer alcoholic beverages.

One thing to note is that the place has a Service charge of 8% but that nothing compared to the service they give to the customers.

This restaurant deserves some stars for being a local enterprise. I like local shops, it helps the locals in the City. The food is not too bad, nothing especial, but no complaint either. The price is not cheap for the type of food and the kind of service. They can still improve to make these match. What I don't like. They let some customers put their dog on the table, as in the paws that walked on the streets, stepped on the table also. And I saw the waiter did not clean it, not even wiped it before the next customers use it. Medyo kadiiri. Their service is a bit slow, which is totally understandable with all the start-up hiccups. My order came after almost an hour, this is still okay. But when I asked for an additional cup of rice, it took them another hour to get it out. This is not...

Live up to expectation

First knew about this place because of tiktok, and maganda rin ung reviews so gusto din namin ma-try personally since malapit lang kami sa area. We are a couple who had our lunch here today, and these are our experience.

Atmosphere: 4⭐ Dinner Vibes ung area because of the aesthetic, at the same time, nung kumain kami, nakakabusog na gusto mo na matulog after kumain 😆 Maluwag din ung area na kahit ata mapuno ng customer, hindi crowded. It's just that nung may order ata na sisig or something smokey ung kabilang table, nagmukhang mausok na din sa place. It's airconditioned so di mainit pero need siguro ng ventilation somehow para sa usok

Service: 5⭐ We were greeted by the staff when we arrive then offered water immediately. They even asked if iced ba or not. Plus points kase dito lang ako natanong ng ganun. They are also courteous sa pagserve ng food. Also offered water refill without needing to ask.

Food: 5⭐ Medyo sad lang kase di available ung honeyglazed ribs na gusto sana namin ma-try, so we had these instead.

Solo Meal Chicken Inasal Malaki ung chicken, so sulit sya, paired na din with java rice, may pa toyo, kalamansi and sili nadin. Malasa ung java rice, hindi dry. Masarap ung manok itself kahit di isawsaw.

Solo Meal Smoked Pork Belly Anlaki din nung pork and what's amazing is hindi sya taba, laman talaga. Sobrang tender din nung meat, di nakikipaglaban sa utensils pag hihiwain. Sakto ung pagkaluto, ung flavor, pati ung sauce malasa din.

Kangkong Madami ung serving na good for 2-3 nadin. Crunchy din ung kangkong, hindi super lambot, or makunat. Perfect. Mas bet ko lang kung mas garlicky taste pa sana ng konti.

Garlic Rice Ordered as extra rice. Generous serving. Pinaghatian pa namin ung one cup. Malasa and hindi rin dry.

Price: Around 200 per dish which is not bad nadin for us.
