White Banana Manila — Restaurant in Makati

Everything about this place is a scam. The manager Moses is incredibly rude and unprofessional. They will say anything to get your money and then cancel your booking at the last minute with no warning and still refuse to refund your payment. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone after the way the manager treated me and my wife. Avoid this place at all costs if you want any amount of peace of mind for your stay in Manilla. 1 star is too many.

Moses was the one yelling on the phone and constantly talking over me while I was patiently asking for a chance to talk without being interrupted without ever being given a chance.

I never threatened anything about social media as I do not even post anything on any social media accounts as I am a private person by nature and do not share my personal life with strangers.

I simply came here to leave an honest review about my experiences with this establishment after being treated incredibly poorly. I hate leaving negative reviews and only do so when absolutely deserved.

There was no actual offer being made by Moses as claimed, just constant deflection, lies and rudely talking over me any time I asked politely to have a chance to talk.

I stand by my review 100% and urge folks to think twice about staying here with the attitude that management has towards people and their utter dishonesty.

To Moses: I hope you can find a path to a better place in life where you do not have to treat people so poorly and can learn some common decency and how to treat people with respect. I wish you the best on your journey to...

Location has no parking. We needed to park in the streets. We just ate in their restaurant because it’s 50% off in eatigo. Their restaurant is a good chilling place though. Their resto is beach themed. Service is kinda slow, waited for 30minutes before the food was served. We ordered the sushi plate, tuna in white wine, grilled tuna rice bowl and the plant based burger. If you’re looking for a healthy meal, this is perfect for you.

Sushi platter is good for 1 person, serving is a bit small based on their price.

Tuna rice bowl tastes good also. This will fill your tummy already since it’s served with rice.

Tuna in white wine sauce, i like that it’s not salty. Good for people looking for a healthy meal. It has no rice though so i just used the rice served together with the sushi platter.

The first 3 meal were served with crunchy sides which is a perfect match with the meals. Though i was not able to ask what it’s called.

The plant based burger, sorry but i did not enjoy eating the burger. Well this is just for me, maybe i expected more flavors in the patty. Though, i enjoyed their chips on a side which i think was hand made by the chef.

White Banana is conveniently located in Publacion Makati. They are close to restaurants, bars, and public transportation. We stayed in a 6-bed girl dormitory since there are no more private rooms available at that time. Our entire stay was fantastic, and our roommates were wonderful and the staff are courteous.

The roof deck bar is good, always packed at night and specially on weekends, this hostel provides good value for your money. Ohh One thing though the house keepers just have to keep an eyes on some things in the room but not a biggie.

We joined the pub crawl hosted by Nikko, Jess, and Kim, who are all wonderful! Nikko is a fantastic party host and dancer, and I adore him! I would strongly advise you to participate in the pub crawl because it was a lot of fun. The people in our group were all excited to socialize and party.
