It’s been years since I had Amber’s, and I vaguely recall their food back then were better.
The only item that seems to be the same is their Pichi-Pichi. Their Pancit Malabon, though still delicious, now comes WITHOUT chicharon. Their pork BBQ, though not bad, has a faintly weird taste that I can’t put my finger on—Lapid’s and Three Sistersm pork BBQ are far more superior. Their fried chicken, though also not bad, is nothing special either. In fact, my children think even 7/11’s fried chicken is better. I would have given their food just 3 stars, but because they are quite reasonably priced, I’m giving them 4 stars.
As for service, I’m giving them 2 stars only because the woman from their hotline who took our order was initially rude. It was only when my wife rebuked her that she adjusted her tone. Moreover, their fried chicken was supposed to come with gravy, but instead they gave us ketchup.
