Shocks! 'been a customer of Kuya J Restos for a very long time and this is the first time I've been disappointed. I ordered Crispy Pata Family at SM Light Branch and even call them (answered by a certain Mae), to request and make sure that the once they're going to deliver isn't burned and over cooked. But to my dismay, what I received was what I don't expect to received. BURNED and OVER-COOKED. I call their branch again to raise my concern and a certain Ms. Kaye assisted me (assigned manager for the day, accdg to her) . She then asked me to wait for the replacement and just return the burned Pata. As simple as that!!! And the funny thing was that she even texted me to compare the two Patas' since the burned and over cooked one was the new Pata Profile according to her and the replacement was their old Pata. Are you kidding me??!! Ang Sunog ay Sunog kahit anong pata pa yan. Kuya J Resto, what happen to your good customer service???!!! So...

There were only three tables with diners at the restaurant at the time, so we chose to eat here to avoid long lines and wait times. A waitress gave us the menu as soon as we sat, but we were left waiting for five minutes until we had to call someone to take our order. We waited for a whole HOUR to receive our food (we only ordered enough food for two people). New diners came in and received their food way before us (one group was even larger than ours). I even noticed everyone had chips and drinks while they waited. My SO and I were patiently waiting with bowls and utensils on our tables. When we finally received our order, it was mid af and cold. The fish was clearly old and microwaved (or reheated poorly) as well. The food wasn’t even worth the wait and the money....

Food was okay but when it comes to their service, I think there's a lot to improve. It seems that the trainees (ones that are in white polo shirt) is a bit absent minded. We've ordered additional dessert, we asked for multiple follow ups but it turns out they forgot to punch the order. We then cancelled the order instead as it took half an hour to figure out they haven't really placed our order and asked for a water refill instead. But then again, they were still out of focus hence they weren't able to provide what was asked and needed to follow up again but this time, it was the one that's wearing red uniform. I was expecting they were better than the trainees but they were just the same. Really bad...

My first time and mostly likely last time to visit Kuya J. Let’s first ignore the long waiting time to serve the orders even though we were one of the only 3 tables with customers. One dish that stroke me in particular is when I ordered shrimp they tried to pass with chicken. I literally thought they served the wrong dish and asked for clarification. They insisted it was the same as photo on menu. Only until I asked for the menu and pointed the exact photo that I ordered, did they bring back the dish to add some green beans and dried shrimps to imitate what’s supposed to be. Yes, the photo here minus the beans and dried shrimps was what they served in the first place.

Service is good. Feeling like eating at hotel. Pricey food though, but it includes free ice tea, small snacks and plain rice. We ordered sinigang baboy and pochero. Sinigang is tasty and decent amount. I will order it again. Pochero has a good presentation, task is okay, but not enough for a meal. Need to improve the portioning though. Rice is little dry. In addition, it’s hot inside. Over all, I like this place, will try it agin
