AA Barbecue and Grill — Restaurant in Mandaue

I love the place, and we often dine here because I get to choose the fish myself. I usually pay in cash, but lately, I’ve been trying to use my credit card.

One time, I tried to pay using my Metrobank Platinum card, but it was declined. I then used my BPI Platinum card, but it was also not accepted. My husband even tried his own BPI Platinum card, but it was declined as well. We started to panic a bit, but thankfully, we had just enough cash with us to settle the bill.

This has happened to us three times already, and it’s quite disappointing. It’s sad that we can’t eat here if we don’t have enough cash. Even though they appear to accept credit cards, they actually don’t honor them as payment. It can be a traumatizing experience to dine out without cash and rely on our credit cards, only to find out they won’t accept it.

I truly hope the management can consider offering more reliable payment options like credit cards so more customers can enjoy the great food...

Yesterday we hosted a bridal shower in one of their private function rooms. The organizer told them that the table and chair cloths were dirty and needs to be replaced. AA Bbq refused to do so because they don’t have extras. No one knows how long those table cloths been there since it was very dirty. This is poor sanitation and customer service since this event was booked ahead. We don’t understand why the venue was not prepared. The food was good except for the fish being salty. Only 2 waiters were working 3 days ago when we dined in, probably because of the crisis brought to us by typhoon Odette; everything was scarce. The waiters were trying their best and I can see they were quick with serving food once it was ready. There was only 1 cook at that time probably, hence, the delay in serving orders. Customers were piling up. 1 ignorant customer decided to pull a Karen.

Pls mind your attitudes in times like this. Think before you speak. Don't be dumb. Observe and listen before you act out...
