Kyoda Cafe – Rainy Day Gem in Mandaue ☕🍰 It was one of those rainy afternoons in Mandaue when we stumbled upon Kyoda Cafe along Hernan Cortes Street. We were expecting a serious downpour, so we decided to take refuge—and honestly, it turned out to be a cozy little surprise!
We ordered a bunch of comfort food: Spaghetti with meatballs, ham and cheese sandwich, quesadilla, and for dessert, the chocolate mousse and mango dream cake. Despite coming from a heavy lunch, we found ourselves digging in and enjoying everything! I paired mine with a matcha latte—perfectly warm, creamy, and comforting for the gloomy weather. 💚
This place may be tucked away in a less busy part of the city, but if you’re in the area, Kyoda Cafe is totally worth the visit. It's a chill spot where you can work remotely (great WiFi!), catch up with friends, or just unwind with a hot drink and sweet slice of cake.
Price-wise, it’s very reasonable for the quality of food and drinks. The staff is attentive, and you can really feel the care because the owner is hands-on and very welcoming.

The food was incredibly delicious. The carbonara was both fancy and creamy. My daughter was particularly taken with the pork chop, which was tender and juicy. I sampled the bang bang chicken, and while it was delightful at the cafe , it didn’t quite hold up when taken out and reheated at home bet freshly made really makes a difference. However, the ribs—OH MY, I highly recommend those!

Had a lovely visit to Kyodo Café recently and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of their food. We ordered the salmon pasta, blueberry shortcake, and s’mores cookies, and every item was a treat in its own way.
The salmon pasta had a rich, creamy flavor and was generous with the salmon pieces. It does carry a bit of that typical seafood aroma, so if you’re not a fan of the slightly fishy smell, it might not be for you—but if you love seafood like I do, this dish hits the mark!
The blueberry shortcake was the standout for me. It was light, not overly sweet, and the balance of flavors was just perfect. Honestly, it’s one of the best blueberry desserts I’ve had in Cebu so far.
Lastly, the s’mores cookies were a delightful surprise! It was my first time trying this kind of cookie, and I loved the gooey texture and comforting blend of chocolate and marshmallow.
The ambiance of the café is cozy and inviting—perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet afternoon. Overall, highly recommended if you’re looking for quality café food with a unique twist in the Hernan...
