Kyoda Cafe â Rainy Day Gem in Mandaue âđ° It was one of those rainy afternoons in Mandaue when we stumbled upon Kyoda Cafe along Hernan Cortes Street. We were expecting a serious downpour, so we decided to take refugeâand honestly, it turned out to be a cozy little surprise!
We ordered a bunch of comfort food: Spaghetti with meatballs, ham and cheese sandwich, quesadilla, and for dessert, the chocolate mousse and mango dream cake. Despite coming from a heavy lunch, we found ourselves digging in and enjoying everything! I paired mine with a matcha latteâperfectly warm, creamy, and comforting for the gloomy weather. đ
This place may be tucked away in a less busy part of the city, but if youâre in the area, Kyoda Cafe is totally worth the visit. It's a chill spot where you can work remotely (great WiFi!), catch up with friends, or just unwind with a hot drink and sweet slice of cake.
Price-wise, itâs very reasonable for the quality of food and drinks. The staff is attentive, and you can really feel the care because the owner is hands-on and very welcoming.

The food was incredibly delicious. The carbonara was both fancy and creamy. My daughter was particularly taken with the pork chop, which was tender and juicy. I sampled the bang bang chicken, and while it was delightful at the cafe , it didnât quite hold up when taken out and reheated at home bet freshly made really makes a difference. However, the ribsâOH MY, I highly recommend those!

Had a lovely visit to Kyodo CafĂ© recently and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of their food. We ordered the salmon pasta, blueberry shortcake, and sâmores cookies, and every item was a treat in its own way.
The salmon pasta had a rich, creamy flavor and was generous with the salmon pieces. It does carry a bit of that typical seafood aroma, so if youâre not a fan of the slightly fishy smell, it might not be for youâbut if you love seafood like I do, this dish hits the mark!
The blueberry shortcake was the standout for me. It was light, not overly sweet, and the balance of flavors was just perfect. Honestly, itâs one of the best blueberry desserts Iâve had in Cebu so far.
Lastly, the sâmores cookies were a delightful surprise! It was my first time trying this kind of cookie, and I loved the gooey texture and comforting blend of chocolate and marshmallow.
The ambiance of the cafĂ© is cozy and invitingâperfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet afternoon. Overall, highly recommended if youâre looking for quality cafĂ© food with a unique twist in the Hernan...
