Suzhou Tea House — Restaurant in Manila

They used to have the most delectable xiao long bao however their version has already ran dry. This gives more mileage to competitors like Lugang, Din Tai Fung and even Tien Ma. This branch may not be that sanitary but I always end up here somehow. While their xiao long bao may have seen its prime, I can never still resist those oily spring onion pancakes (insist for ginger sauce when having this!), the oily stir fried noodles and the overflowing soups (hot and sour soup, and tomato and egg soup are my favorites!)...Try their maki and the flat stick handle noodle soup...very hot and hearty especially during rainy nights! Steamed kuchay dumplings is also a treat! Not much of a fan of the beef noodle soup (to think this should be the specialty of every Taiwanese noodle house) as well as the congee (run to North Park instead!) You may try though the pickles and pork noodle soup or the spicy shrimp wonton soup! Just get used to the lady manager in this branch who changes her hairstyle and color every 2 weeks...she may not be smiling a lot but she...

Expensive! I'm not sure what's the average price for Chinese cuisine here in Manila, but as compared to a number of countries I been to across Asia, this is definitely expensive for such simple dishes.

Its not like fancy place, is kinda rundown, oily floor, looks dirty settings. The food taste is alright, but just alright.

Choices are variety but it's not quite authentic and the dishes are actually roadside stalls category if you're in China, hong kong, Malaysia, Singapore or even Thailand. And the price will definitely be...

Despite only discovering this via GrabFood, I've had to add my own review because of how good the food is! I've ordered 4x in the past two weeks. 😂 Really loved ordering my Steamed Kuchy Dumpings, Xiao Long Bao, and Fried Spicy Chicken. Despite multiple deliveries on the rider's side, they send out food fast and the food arrives still hot and in great condition.

My only wihs is they could add an option for plain rice, additional soy sauce or sauces, and more...
