I visited Greenwich inside Tutuban Mall to try their ₱99 promo, but I was disappointed with the fried chicken they served. It was overcooked, almost burnt, and tasted like it had been soaked in old cooking oil.
I approached the staff and the chef to ask if they could replace the chicken, as it was unpleasant to eat. They told me that was the only chicken available. However, I noticed that for regular orders—not part of the promo—they were serving properly cooked, golden-brown chicken.
I didn't argue further but decided to go to our table and eat. When I cut into the chicken, it was evident that it had been cooked in reused oil. I then called the manager to address the issue. I asked if this was the standard for their ₱99 promo, as we would be willing to pay more for a properly cooked meal. The manager explained that the chicken was cooked in used oil and assured me that this wasn't their standard. After that, they offered me a properly cooked chicken in less than 5 minutes. This raised the question: when I initially asked the crew and chef, they said that was the only chicken available.
At that point, we had already lost our appetite and decided to take out the food we ordered instead of eating there.
While I understand cost-cutting measures, if they can't serve the same quality chicken for the promo, perhaps they shouldn't offer it. Customers deserve consistent quality, regardless...
