A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Convenience in the Heart of Manila: Hotel Lucky Chinatown

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Lucky Chinatown during my visit to Manila, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. From its ideal location to its impeccable service, this hotel truly offers an unforgettable experience for travelers seeking to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture, delectable cuisine, and bustling shopping scene of Binondo and Divisoria.

Location: 5/5 Hotel Lucky Chinatown enjoys a prime location that is a dream come true for food enthusiasts and shopaholics alike. Situated right in the heart of Chinatown, it provides easy access to the vibrant and historic district of Binondo, renowned as the oldest Chinatown in the world. Exploring this neighborhood is an absolute delight, with its charming streets, authentic Chinese eateries, and bustling markets. From mouthwatering dim sum to delectable noodle dishes, Binondo offers a gastronomic adventure that will leave you craving for more.

Furthermore, Hotel Lucky Chinatown is conveniently located near Divisoria, the mecca of bargain shopping in Manila. Divisoria is a treasure trove for fashion enthusiasts, offering a wide range of clothing, accessories, and home goods at incredibly affordable prices. Whether you're looking for trendy fashion pieces or unique souvenirs, Divisoria has it all. The fact that this bustling shopping paradise is just a stone's throw away from the hotel is a major advantage for avid shoppers.

Accommodations: 4.5/5 The hotel itself exudes elegance and modernity, with tastefully decorated rooms that provide a comfortable and relaxing retreat after a long day of exploration. The beds are incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities to make your stay enjoyable. The only minor drawback is that the rooms could be a bit more spacious, especially for those traveling with larger groups or families. However, the overall cleanliness, attention to detail, and friendly staff more than make up for it.

Service: 5/5 The hotel staff at Lucky Chinatown truly goes above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of their guests. From the warm welcome at check-in to the efficient housekeeping services, their professionalism and attentiveness are commendable. The front desk staff is always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, providing valuable recommendations for local dining establishments and shopping spots. Their dedication to creating a pleasant and memorable stay is truly noteworthy.

Facilities: 4.5/5 The fitness center is well-equipped and offers a variety of exercise options to keep you active during your stay.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Lucky Chinatown. Its unbeatable location in the vibrant heart of Manila's Chinatown, paired with its comfortable accommodations and exceptional service, make it the perfect choice for anyone looking to explore Binondo's culinary wonders and Divisoria's bustling shopping scene. I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers seeking an unforgettable...

I live near this hotel, so I thought it would be a convenient option to stay here in case of emergencies, such as a power interruption at home. Unfortunately, this happened earlier this month, so we decided to do a late check-in at around 4PM.

We were charged ₱5,000 for a room that was far below acceptable standards of cleanliness and sanitation. I know because I've been to several hotels (3-stars, 4-stars, 5-stars etc). There were small cockroaches in the twin beds, long hair strands, visible dust all around, and overall it felt as if the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. Granted, this isn’t a 5-star hotel, but being a 3-star (or below) is no excuse for poor hygiene and lack of maintenance.

What made things worse was how the situation was handled. I immediately reported the issues and called them that same day, expecting at least a room change — especially since we had our 86-year-old grandmother with us. Instead, all they offered was to send housekeeping.

The next morning at checkout, I raised the concern again, but the staff simply took a photo from my phone and said they would report it. No apology, no sense of accountability.

For ₱5,000 a night, this was unacceptable. I will not be returning to this hotel. There are far better options nearby, such as Ramada or even Red Planet, where at least you get the cleanliness and value...

Honestly, I tried this hotel cause I wanted to try the food around Binondo. Location is good just beside the mall, there are many food to choose from. Staff aren't that nice, not smiling, not accommodating even if there are many customers waiting, they don't even offer you a drink. Their lobby is very hot like no aircon. They only invested in the interior designs of their lobby but once you get inside the room I tell you, it is spacious enough but there are many small cockroaches in the bed and comfort room plus it smells awful. We weren't able to sleep the whole night. The biggest problem also is there switch, all are lose and you'll get scared to use them because it's dangerous. I wasn't able to charge my phone either throughout the stay and can't use their kettle properly since their switches are all lose. TV is small if you're in standard room plus the color is like some old TV although it has cable. Breakfast for the price of 499, if you are fond of salad you can try, they offer usual breakfast like hotdog, egg, rice and tocino. I think you can have more decent meal in that amount outside considering the place is just surrounded with restaurants and food stall. The location is really great however, the hotel room isn't really that nice. I hope it can be improved so foreigners can be more pleased to try...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Foodie Haven Alert! ️ Hotel Lucky Chinatown is your budget-friendly gateway to deliciousness in Manila's Chinatown. From morning dim sum to savory seafood dinners, their food game goes from zero to real quick. Bonus points for not breaking the bank, making it a win-win for your taste buds and wallet. Getting there from SM Megamall? Easy peasy! 1. MRT-3 FTW: Hop on the MRT-3 from SM Megamall, and disembark at Carriedo Station. 2. Chinatown Stroll: Enjoy the vibrant streets and buzzing atmosphere as you take a short walk to Hotel Lucky Chinatown. Think #InstaWorthy snaps and local delights along the way. Things to know before you go: ‍1. No pool here, so your mermaid tail might need a break. 2. Forget Vegas vibes - there's no in-house casino. 3. Parking can get tricky if you hit rush hour (think Tetris with bumpers). Overall, Hotel Lucky Chinatown is a hidden gem for budget-conscious travelers and foodies alike. It's got delicious food, comfy rooms, and a killer location - minus the pool and poker tables. But hey, who needs those when you've got Manila's Chinatown at your doorstep? #EatLikeALocal #ChinatownAdventures Pro tip: Use Google Maps to navigate through the bustling streets and discover hidden gems along the way! ️

Hotel Lucky Chinatown has always been one of our options when doing a food crawl in Binondo. However, every time we stay here, there’s always an issue with their rooms. While the staff are friendly and accommodating, the problems with the rooms persist. During our last stay, the room initially assigned to us wasn’t cleaned properly—you could see visible issues like a powdery substance on the TV. We had to request a room transfer, which they arranged for us. The hotel’s parking area is also quite small, which is understandable since this isn’t a large hotel. Another downside was the weak water pressure in the showers. Honestly, the shower at home is much better. The rooms also feel worn out, and some amenities could use replacement or upgrading to improve the guest experience. For instance, it would be great if they upgraded their TVs to smart TVs, as many hotels do now. It’s disappointing to realize that most people have better TVs at home. The included breakfast at Café de Chinatown was also underwhelming, with very limited options, though I did enjoy the bacon. Next time I’m in Binondo, I’ll definitely consider other hotel options. Unfortunately, due to repeated bad experiences with their rooms, I’m unlikely to book here again.
