Hap Chan Tea House SM Manila — Restaurant in Manila

This is the nearest chinese restaurant from my place and the food is delicious. However, this afternoon was quite different-service and atmosphere. There was no customer when we arrived at around 4 p.m. onwards of Sept. 1 (in case you replay your CCTV). There were people sleeping on the couch and chair. I had to say a loud "hello po" to make those in the kitchen see that we were there. It was that time that the staff from the kitchen came to assist and no one to welcome customers. After some time, 3 customers arrived and still the staff were lying on the chair and couch. I felt disturbed by the scene especially in a restaurant in a mall. I would understand if it was in the sidewalk. It was only after the 3rd set of customers arrived that they "got up" from lying around. It just doesn't feel right that Hap Chan would allow staff, guests, or anyone to sleep on chairs during working hours even when there are no customers. It bothers me as a customer eating while there are people sleeping. I thought they were closed at first since no one was responding to...

This is my first time here and i can say it's very recommendable because the food is good and the big servings will makes you come again and again. I like their patatim with cuapo, crispy fried noodles and hap chan meat balls. Will come back...
