I want to start off by saying this place has amazing service. Kudos to Michael who assisted us that day. He was kind enough to give his suggestions of what to eat, and which dishes are best for take out. He was even honest on which dishes are not great for takeout and that the quality of the food wont be as good as newly served.
What we got was the se-po rice and lido congee. The congee amazed me. You can taste the smokiness of the meat in the rice. It also had mushrooms and a century egg. I got the se-po, which has chorizo, drunken lechon, their famous asado with sauce on the side, some cabbage, and an egg on top the rice. Michael suggested me this since I would be able to taste the various meats which are part of their main dishes. The Lechon had a subtle sweetness and was also crunchy. My wife loved the chorizo. Finally, the asado didn't disappoint. It was sweet and had a bit savory fat on it. The only let down with this dish were that the cabbage was bland and the side sauce was watery. Nothing was done with the cabbage. A suggestion would to maybe add sesame oil, butter, or even some vinegar to help reset my palate from the meats.
Not food related, but their restroom was also clean and well equipped. They even have a bidet for their toilet.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and will bring our parents to try this place next...
Read moreChinese themed resto. Service is hit or miss. I’ve only ate here multiple times because of the location being right next to my hotel. The food is nothing to shout in the streets over. Also it’s on the expensive side.
First time during dinner I got great service, the second time I had a late breakfast they either forgot about my order or prioritized others first, as people who came in after me were served before me, yet again, just like the Japanese place next door. I think one of the most frustrating things over the years I’ve been writing for Google is restaurants here that serve diners out of order. It must just be something about me that says “serve this goofball after the important people are taken care of.” If my place had a kitchenette I would not be giving places like this the time of day, yet there I was. Another lesson learned.
The sausage with the breakfast medley was pretty good. I’ll give them that much. Settle for this place if you are craving fake Chinese food, but I would highly recommend just going to a local Inasal joint (Bacolod or Mang) if...
Read moreLido Cocina Tsina offers a mixed experience. While the atmosphere is somewhat pleasant, the food falls short of expectations. The dishes I tried were bland and lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. The service was also average, with staff being inattentive at times. Highlights:
Pleasant atmosphere: The restaurant has a nice ambiance, with comfortable seating and soft lighting.
Lowlights: Mediocre food: The dishes were bland and lacked flavor, failing to impress. Average service: The staff was inattentive at times, and it took a while to get our orders. Overall, Lido Cocina Tsina is a restaurant that I wouldn't recommend. While the atmosphere is okay, the food and service don't justify a higher rating. If you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant, I suggest exploring...
