McDonald's J. Abad Santos — Restaurant in Manila

We visited the McDonald's Bambang branch around midnight and were impressed by the modern ambiance of the place. However, our overall experience was disappointing due to significant service issues.

Despite the appealing environment, the service we encountered was frustrating. The staff failed to inform customers about a system restart that halted operations. We had redeemed a code on the McDonald's app while in line, only to be told it couldn't be accepted because it wasn't redeemed at the counter and their system is still restarting. This was frustrating since the app’s code was valid and has a time limit. Also, the branch only had one functioning POS system at the time. The crew didn’t offer any practical solutions, such as restarting one POS at a time to keep operations going or just getting the code and still give the discount after the system restarted. REDEEMING THE CODE BEFOREHAND IS NOT THE CUSTOMER'S FAULT; IT WAS THE MANAGEMENT'S FAILURE TO NOTIFY CUSTOMERS THAT THEIR SYSTEM WAS DOWN.

Our concerns were not isolated, as another customer was also voicing complaints. We strongly suggest improving your service protocols and ensuring consistency in customer service throughout all hours of operation.

It was such a bad experience since we expected that breakfast was available at 4 am as it was stated on their website, MacDonald's apps, and in the queue, so we arrived at 3:50 and waited 10 minutes until it was available. Then at exactly 4:00 am we checked the queue, and yes, it was already available, but when we went to the counter to pay, the staff at the counter area told us that it was not yet available, not until 4:30. Then I told her that it was already available in the queue, and then she responded to me unpolitely that they serve breakfast at 4:30am. The slot is for 5-7 but when we got there at 5 they are still cleaning and setting up. Party started at 5:45 and ended at 6:45. Host doesnt sesm to want to be there and only 2 games were played. Dont get me started about the food.

Everything was fasttracked as if we are not customers who paid for the party. I was so heartbroken for my friend. And at 6:45 the host even told us to pls just leave and wait in the lobby/outside the party area.
