Such a funny story and a very memorable one on how we came across Chapter One Cafe. The place is very near our accommodation and we can see the lights during night time.

The night we stumbled at the cafe, we just came from cellar door and had our yoghurt at the Marie's which is not part of our original itinerary for the tour which is the Bomod-ok falls. We were tired after the trek at Marlboro hills and blue soil that's why we decided to do a more laid back activity in the afternoon.

However when we were going back to our accommodation, we got very curious at the fairy lights and went to explore otherwise. We were actually surprised that the place is at the top and you need to take 117 steps, yes we counted it lol! Our supposed to be laid back evening didn't go through as planned but we very much enjoyed our time here.

They offer coffee, tea, cocktails, pasta, food meals etc. they also have board games such as snake and ladders, chess, uno cards and they also ask us if we want to have a bonfire with other customers. So we could say that customer service is definitely a 5 out 5 experience. I ordered their cosmopolitan and my friends ordered their potato chips which we all loved.

Alsoo, if you love dogs, their house pets are very welcoming. Would highly recommend this cafe. Don't get too intimidated by the stairs as your stay here could be as...

A bit of a walk up stairs to get to the place. It still seems to be under development. We came here for coffee and to enjoy the view. I ordered the Segada coffee brewed with a v60/pour over. It was my first time trying this specific coffee and it was alright. It was served pretty hot so I had to let it cool down to taste it properly. Unfortunately my partner wasn't too keen on her latte. They seemed a bit all over the place when making both coffees. Maybe they are learning as they go? My suggestion: simplify the filter coffee options and give the customer some information about the coffee available. For example, where it was roasted, is it light medium or dark roast, the flavour profile, the reason behind the brewing options (v60, chemex, aeropress etc). The place has potential. They have some good gear but maybe lack the experience...

Found behind that boulder as shown on the picture below. Took us a while to find the place as there were no signage available(renovations were ongoing). We ordered fried chicken, sinigang na salmon and sinigang na pork(no photos for these 2 dishes ✌️). Dishes were actually appetizing (besides from the fact that we were famished at this point of the trip as the first place we went, Cafe Gaia, was mostly vegetarian.

P.S I enjoyed the pickled...
