Velvet Bean Cafe — Restaurant in Olongapo

Where do I even start?  There are so much good things to say about Velvet Bean Café that it's hard for me to pick just one thing.  But to summarize, if you want amazing food, a clean and inviting atmosphere, and the most important thing, AMAZING staff, Velvet Bean Café is your place to go.  Our two weeks stay at the connected Court Meridian Hotel was made extra special by being able to have our breakfast here.  The staff (and the food 😊) always ensure that we start our day with a smile and positive energy.  It is truly a fantastic place to go to enjoy a great selection of authentic Filipino food (and some American options as well).  I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing staff who made our stay extra special.  To Chef Ronald and Chef Tyrone, we didn't meet you personally but please know that we've enjoyed our food immensely! To Ate Shane, Ate Maricar, Regine, Akirou, Ceasar and of course, our adopted sibling, Make, can't thank you all enough for being so welcoming and making our dining experience fantastic specially for making my mom super happy every time!  You all are truly amazing and we can't wait to see you all again on...

They are a restaurant with 40 seats. But really their capacity to serve is only 10-15 people. Now, why am I able to say this? We came in at lunch time (by this time, you as a restaurant should know and be ready for peak hours) and are around 24 people. 1 hr and 30 mins has passed but barely all of us have eaten. No order and flow with how the food was being served. Pahipyaw hipyaw lang labas ng food per table and not really completing the order of one table.

And then there’s this server whom I asked for a follow up and ang sabi lang sa akin “day 1 ko lang sir, di ko alam gagawin ko” really????

My suggestion - close half of your resto since di niyo naman talaga kaya mag serve ng 40 pax e. Make it 15-20 lang max ang sits niyo dapat.

Anyway, there are better restos to eat around Subic naman, so don’t waste your money by...

Had a great experience at Velvet Bean! The staff were friendly and accommodating—you could feel their warmth the moment you walked in. They made the whole visit feel extra welcoming.

The food was delicious, and the ambience was cozy yet modern—perfect for catching up with friends or working. WiFi vouchers were provided even after I used up mine, which I really appreciated since I ended up staying longer than planned.
