Mesa SM sucat is a surprisingly good place to eat lunch. The variety of Filipino dishes are really good. They have a good selection of Pork, Beef, Sea food and Vegetable dishes. Another thing that I like about their menu is that it comes in sizes and portions. They have small, medium and family portions. My fiancee, her father and I had medium sized dishes and it was enough for all of us. Considering that I am a heavy eater, I was extremely satisfied and full with their serving sizes. Check out their best sellers. They have lil red icons on the menu that will tell you if the dish is a best seller. I tried the Garlic Chicken and it was fantastic. Their Liempo was also good, and same goes for their Bangus Pakbet. The only draw back to this dining experience was the presence of bones in most of their dishes. It said boneless on the Bangus but i had to pick out the bones and chewed on one which stabbed my lower gum. I expect things to boneless when it is advertised as boneless. The garlic chicken, though tasty and delicious was also too bony. Overall the taste was really good and the price was not bad. Would I come back to Mesa? Yes, but not that frequent. The bony experience is alil downer, but still a place worth...
Read morevisited June 2021 Great Filipino restaurant, menu offers a great selection of Filipino food and dessert I included their qr code for their menu at the moment I only tried the half slab of their pork belly and enjoyed it, came with garlic mayo dip and buro as sidings, you can request spicy vinegar as another option which I greatly suggest.
Pros Place and ambience is spacious and tables are well spaced out from each other, food servers are very attentive and courteous no service charge
not so much of a con, half slab appears to weigh around 300-400 grams at most but very tender and balanced in texture meaning not to crispy overall but the meaty part is tender and juicy, the fatty part is tender and the skin part just the right crispyness also the part where the herbs and spices are located is not salty and overflavored which is nice. I say the half slab is good for 3 persons.
I'll definitely come back and dine again to try their...
Read moreWe came here today and was very glad they accommodated our party of 13, as well as my mom's advanced orders so that the food was already served when everyone got there. The place had a modern filipino vibe and the staff were accommodating, service was fast as well as the serving of the food considering we ordered four of the sisig, 2 kinds of pusit, 2 kinds of fish, and 2 kare-kare. When it comes down to the food, the Sisig and the Baby Squid stood out for me but aside from that everything else were just okay, not much of a wow factor from us. The halo-halos we ordered were good, as was the sampaloc shake. The Salted Chocolate milk tea was okay but the pearl it comes with had such a bad texture.
Overall will probably come back for the sisig. If you're looking for good filipino food that is well within affordable prices, this...
