The French Baker SM City Sucat — Restaurant in Parañaque

The service was as too slow. It took us more than 30 minutes of waiting for our food. After that, it took us 20 mins to get our bill and to have our change. They even forgot our salad and only made it when we asked for it. The worst part is that my mom got an allergic reaction on their grilled chicken with mango salsa. It wasn't cooked well and my mom, who is a senior citizen, only noticed after consming the outer half of the chicken. She noticed it when she was eating the inner part it tasted like it was sour and it was somewhat smelly. We rushed her to the nearest clinic from our house and was given medication. However, she was on panic because of what happened. Your staff should be careful on what you serve. You should make sure that they are always fresh and well cooked as I understand you try to attract people in your resto with your international standard...

My first menu choice was not available so I opted for the Fish & Chips which the staff had to pre-clear with the kitchen too.

The 3-piece fish came with some herbed potato chips and tartar sauce on the side. They were more like fish fingers instead of a single fillet and had a dark crusty breading, not the light & crispy batter I was expecting. The chips looked commercial to me. The taste was acceptable but salty, fried just long enough not to look undercooked.

Maybe this branch is not one of their top-tier locations because I’ve had better meals in the past. Service staff could also use some...

After walking out of another restaurant because of poor service, I ended up here at French Baker – and I’m glad I did. That’s why I’m here now.

The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we sat down. Service was quick, and they checked on us just the right amount without being pushy.

The food was excellent. The pasta was outstanding – perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and easily the highlight of our meal. The club sandwich and fish dish were also very tasty, and the drinks were refreshingly good.

Overall, this is a cozy place with good food and genuinely good service. I’ll definitely come back...
