Jam House — Restaurant in Puerto Galera

This is a relatively new bar. It was not here last time I came. It has to be the best bar on white beach now and certainly the most fun. The owners are fantastic people and both great entertainers. The band is top quality taking requests and of course you can also join in if you so wish. The food is also very good I guess it's a little pricey but no more than the rest of the bar's not only on the beach. From what I was told by a few owners it's the cost of shipping the food in from the mainland. In fact some told me it's cheaper for them to travel to Batangas or Manila to buy their food for the bars. But I entered this bar as a customer and after six days left as a friend. I will miss this bar and the owners. I hope to get back there soon. For the reviewer's that complained about waiting for food, have a beer have another listen to the entertainment. I found the food worth the wait....

Nice looking bar with live music most of the days. Service is mostly good, depending on who you get and when you are there. However, cocktails are way overpriced (250 PHP for a Russian?!) and if you don't pay attention, they pour you another one, if you don't stop them. Also, their shakes are from syrup, no real fruit involved! My wife, who is diabetic, ordered a cucumber shake. After we complained about the sugary taste, the owner checked and assured us it was without sugar. Only when I asked him how it was made, he said it was from syrup. Syrup is close to 100% sugar! Took us 1hr 15mins and our food is not even served! It’s only 8pm and all of their customer’s tables don’t have anything on it except for drinks because guess what, all are on queue in their kitchen. My friend was even approached by the “drunk” owner holding a bottle of alcohol. The discussion continued and the owner pulled the card that “you agreed on waiting for 45 mins”. Yes! We agreed on the 45mins but it’s already over an hour! It’s not even reasonable enough having us wait for that long and have us treated like that. Imagine how terrified my friend is trying to have an amicable settlement that is...
