Unfortunately this restaurant did not live up to expectations. Largely overpriced for what you got.
The Frito seafood starter was good, perfectly cooked. However, it could have included a seafood sauce instead of just mayonnaise. Chips werenât nice!
The sliced steak and Italian sausage wasnât good. Chips were luke warm and full of oil. Couldnât eat them! The Italian sausage was super processed, and not a homemade type. More of a cheap supermarket variety and tasted of cheap oil. Again couldnât eat it all due to the oily taste. The steak was four very thin and slightly over cooked slices. A cheap cut of meat and way over priced for what you got.
The seafood pasta was OK, but rather bland tasting sauce. Also the mains dishes came, literally, straight after the entree. A short gap would have been better to allow time to digest the seafood entree.
The initial slice of bread with pesto sauce was a nice touch at the start and homemade Limoncello at the end as free on the house.
However, there was a great view up the beach from their balcony.

Read moreWe went here for our 35th anniversary last night. The place was amazing. We sat outside overlooking the water. The selection of red wine was good. The prices were comparable to any Italian restaurants in other parts of the world. We started with the caprese. I think this should be taken off the menu since it's extremely difficult to get fresh mozzarella in these parts. It tasted like wet sponge and very clear it was previously frozen. The steak was done well but too salty. The over salting would continue on to my fettuccine. I asked for the salmon but they gave me the mushroom. The Chef should always taste his dish before serving. I'm sure that the taste of the sauce was delicious but I could not get pass the saltiness. The staff was less than amazing. I wish they had more personality and confidence. If the waiter had spoken a little bit louder and repeated my order, we wouldn't have had the mixup with my pasta order. Definitely will not go back to celebrate any milestone occasions. Might go back to try...
Read moreA rather disappointing difference to when I ate here before COVID. First, the prices have doubled, especially with their half-glass of "house wine" at 400 pesos (note: about $7.50). I mean, is it a half-rate Philippine beach resort.. or San Torino Italy?
The pizza was not very good this time (bit hard and dry) compared to before as well. The tomato mozzarella salad was "very" pricy as well đ±
To top it off, there's a head banging balcony bar with live music right next door. Kinda ruins a quiet pleasant lunch/dinner.
Unfortunately, White Beach in total only feels more rundown and tasteless with poor food choices + higher prices than Bagiuo. Burnt dry Pecho! The Marco cafe doesn't make a good cup of java. They can't even cook decent Chinese food (we tried 2 places). We stayed a week and ended cooking at our Airbnb most times. Not Boracay !
Exception: The restaurant Veranda has great humus with warm bread and shrimp-pomelo salad (although not the...
