This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We ordered Thai salad and another salad. The Thai salad did not have any dressing (apparently a new chef assistant forgot to put the dressing!) while the other salad had dressing. Both were unfortunately very bland. The owner apologized for the missing dressing and gave us the dressing but it was too salty, the fish sauce overpowered everything else in it. The pasta we ordered which was supposedly a house special was also very bland. It was a white sauce pasta (sorry i forgot the name of the dish). The only positive feedback i can give for the pizzas ordered was that it had a crunchy crust. The price was too much for such tasteless dishes.
Based on the response from the restaurant I take it they don't accept unfavorable reviews well. Factual statements were considered as RANTS. I read a lot of insinuations and attempts to discredit our dining experience in the response. If only he devoted more effort to food quality control than damage control, then it would have been a win-win situation.
After paying for our bill, the owner or manager told us that they've decided to stop orders for the Thai salad until the dressing issue is resolved. The respondent to this review didn't bother to mention that fact, or that we tried to cancel the third order of fetuccine pasta because we did not care for it. Unfortunately, at that point, the server came out of the kitchen and served the pasta so we had no choice but to have it packed up to go. We gave away the dish.
Some parting thoughts for the restaurant: Just because we ate a dish doesn't mean we enjoyed it. We were hungry, and there were 11 of us (7 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 toddlers). We ordered various dishes to cater to different tastes. It doesn't mean we ate all dishes together; we only ate the dishes that we wanted instead of eating everything. And just because the dishes don't go together does not mean that our palates are not capable of distinguishing a bad dish from a good one. The general consensus among the adults in our group was that the dishes we tasted were tasteless. For the rest of our holiday every time somebody ordered a salad, the first question is, 'Does it have a dressing?!😜'. So yes - that was the lasting impression of the salad that I was supposed to have...

We were group of 6 and 5 of them were from europe and an asian with delicate palate.
It was the perfect evening for all of us but certainly not the perfect weather, but who cares. A celebration of 7 and 14 years of partnership, friendship, acquiantances, holiday vacation, being proud of our sexuality and of good health and a happy beginning of the year.
Our experience might be different from yours and so as our tastebuds. One thing i am sure of, it did tickled our palates.
We had an impressive starters; Thai salad, kilawin, mushroom, pumpkin soup and tomato salad. As we started digging in, the table conversation was shifted how it was beautifully prepared. Both aesthetically and its flavor. And our entrees were excellent too. We've had kaldereta, tuna skewer, Al Pesto pasta and ravioli. It was not out of this world that would make you gaga over with but definitely satisfying and absolutely leaves you talking about it on the table.
Again, this is our experience and yours could...
Read moreA fantastic restaurant—no pushy staff trying to lure you in, and since it’s located a bit further down White Beach, it was a bit quieter.
We chose to have the tenderloin with rosemary potatoes. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to take a photo before we started eating, but wow, it was absolutely delicious! The chef (possibly the owner) even came out to ask how the food was—that’s great service. The meat was incredibly tender.
Of course, prices on White Beach are a bit higher, but it was well worth the money. In Sweden, you’d easily pay twice as much for a steak like that.
Highly recommend a visit! We’ll definitely be back to try the...
