What makes them different? ✅️ #ReasonablyPricedMeals and #ServingSizePortions is just right (though you'll definitely ask for an extra rice haha) ✅️ #BalancedTaste of Food ✅️ #NoServiceCharge ✅️ #AttentiveAndAccommodatingStaffs (they do offer what they have like the other restaurants and bars in the area but not in a very annoying way haha) ✅️ They offer good choice of #RedWine and #WhiteWine (pwede tikim muna hehe) ✅️ #RelaxingAmbiance , I find their spot a bit more #Serene than the other places ( ansarap tumambay kasi hindi daanan ng tao)
What I had: 📌 #SeafoodSpaghetti 4/5 - (they had a different name for that) the tomato based sauce had balanced taste would love to have more seafoods in it though (I like that it was not cooked Filipino Style with too much sugar in it? - kapag tumatanda alam nyu na haha) 📌 #LemonadeWithChiaSeeds 4/5 - just perfect ! but would love to have it in bigger serving size though.
📌 #GrilledFish / #GrilledTanigue 5/5 - grilled to perfection , the team loved this dish so much! Kudos to chef! The serving size of the fish is way better than the other restaurants that we went to ✌️ (sila ata yung may pinakamurang extra rice kaya naman sayang saya ang mga boys haha) 📌 #WhiteWine 4/5 - best pair for my grilled fish, would love to have sweeter variety though.
Well all in all, #TakipSilimRestoBar is the best that we had! Our team would highly recommend this place. Get there early though because they only have limited seats.
If you search in google maps, they are categorized as a bar. (Kaya hindi namin nahanap agad kase we explored the restaurants in googlemaps haha)

Read moreI don’t usually look forward to dining in Puerto Galera because, in my experience, the food is often overpriced with just average taste—enough to satisfy your hunger but nothing worth anticipating. The few decent options tend to be costly, yet still fall short in terms of quality and flavor.
One evening, while relaxing on the White Beach benches, we spotted Takip Silim right in front of us. The place had a laid-back, chill vibe, situated conveniently close to the beach but away from the noisy crowd. Intrigued, I checked their Google Reviews and was blown away by the glowing feedback. That was all it took to convince us to give it a try—and it turned out to be the best decision ever.
We ended up eating there for two consecutive dinners and even squeezed in a lunch before heading back to Manila. Each meal was nothing short of exceptional. Their mouthwatering Filipino dishes added a delightful highlight to our stay in Puerto Galera, making our trip all the more memorable. We were even able to celebrate my son’s birthday there, and it felt special in every way.
The staff were all incredibly attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. It’s the kind of service that makes you want to come back for more. If there’s one small room for improvement, it would be to add fans in all areas as it can get a bit warm at times.
Here’s what we tried and loved:
Bulalo: 10/10 Sisig: 1M/10 Buttered Shrimp: 1M/10 Pork Sinigang: 10/10 Pork Liempo: 10/10 Shanghai Rolls: 9/10 Stuffed Squid: 8/10 Cheese Langos: 10/10 Spicy Squid: 9/10 Sinigang na Salmon 10/10
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Filipino cuisine in Puerto Galera, Takip Silim is a must-try. It’s more than just a meal—it’s an experience that makes your trip...
Read moreI love having breakfast here when everything is still quiet and the beach view is so serene. They offer Slovakian bread langos among others. The classic garlic flavor tops my list. This resto-bar offers a wide array of choices other than the usual “silog” meals. Both cash and G Cash are accepted as modes of payment, too.
This cozy eatery turns into a bar at night, allowing continued view of White Beach. One of the famous Puerto Galera sand castle attractions is just a few steps away.
There’s a step which might be a challenge for wheelchair users. I think with assistance, that step can be manageable.
PS Visited PG over the weekend September 5-7 and this is where I’d always opt to have breakfast.
Gentle reminder that vendors would pass by and offer their wares ranging from various souvenirs like pearls, dried fish, pusit, etc. It would be good if we can buy to help their livelihood but if not interested, a firm no,thank you should suffice to make them leave. Btw, the pearls are real ones and sold at very good price! I’ve even bought several earrings for myself...
