Well, this hotel has to be the Filipino equivalent of fawlty towers. Where to start - the room was basic but seemed clean and the sea view balcony was very nice. After that, it's all downhill. No kettle in the room, with a note telling you not to plug in your own. Hot water is 50 pesos from reception, to sterilise our babies bottles. The toilet seat hinges were broken, bringing the lid down on my little toe when I opened it. The plug did not fit the sink hole, so you could not fill the sink up. Later we found cockroaches in the room. There's even a note asking you not to eat your own food on your balcony (probably a wise idea, given the cockroach issue). There is no WiFi. Towels provided would barely wrap round my 34" waist. The shower, although hot, had a broken head, so it may as well have been a bit of old hosepipe. For 3200 pesos (£50) I'd have expected a great deal better. We'd have been as well staying in one of the derelict hotels up the coast and taking our own camping stove for hot water. White beach hotel and white beach lodge are two different places but near by. White beach hotel rooms are below basic. Towels have big holes. No amenities. Rooms maintenance very poor. TV CRT 14" with very bad reception, No wifi at all. Water always dripping in Cr . There was no tour guide. There was no underwater camera for unlimited use. Island hoping was not on the other islands. It was just on the beaches near by on the same island. The good thing was riding in the small boat and to go to sea giant clams and cave. We were being fooled by the agent. complimentary breakfast limited choice. Better to reserve a room online and just go to beach. Many boat man are asking for tour. It cost only 1800 for 6 persons. really far cheaper and better than to get a package. Getting a tour package was a mistake. white beach Puerto Galera is an average beach as compare to other place in Philippines. Have stayed before in white beach but then in Rey-Alexandra suites wich i liked and it was affordable. I like white beach since it is a nice beach and close to Manila. It takes around 5-6 hours travelling from Makati in Manila. Take taxi or jeepney to Buendia bus station to Batangas pier and boat to White beach. Not always ferry to White beach if there isn't enough passengers or bad weather. Then it arrives in Puerto galera instead and have to take trycicle to white beach. They would ask for 150pesos at pier but i was walking down to city for 5-10 minutes and got it for 100 pesos instead. Have been to White beach several times since i started travelling to philippines. They have funny ladyboys performance there just at the beach in the evening for those who like that. Stayed 4 days and paid 1500 pesos per day at Rey-Alexandra suites then and not white beach bar and restaurant.
