Unplanned dinner with a friend featuring the following: Sliced pork with century egg congee; Salted & spicy tofu; and Shrimp rice roll.

The breakdown: Food: It was good. Not mind-melting or earth-shattering but alright. Serving size was respectable. Just a wee bit pricy, in my opinion. Ambiance: Nice. Well lit and it doesn't feel cramped despite the number of tables. Service crew: The male waiters were attentive and polite. The lady from the cashier needs a crash course in customer relations. She didn't hand us the bill. She, without a word or acknowledgement, just left the bill on the table, turned and left. When the change came, it was the same thing. No thanks, nothing. Funny though, she treated the older folks at the table next to us differently. 😑

In conclusion: food is okay....

Visited this place again, on an afternoon. And there were only 2 servers. Some of the servers were on a break. So, as expected, the service really suffered. I have to go near the counter several times to call their attention. This should not be the case. I understand their predicament, but they also should have a contingency in such a case.

Now, to the food. Their vegetable soup tastes bland. Although the serving size is ok, i didn't go much for it. Crispy radish cake is ok, which should go with hot sauce. Their beancurd dimsum is just ok also. Well, i guess most of the dishes are just ok. Maybe because there is less MSG. Their food is not perky. But not tasty, either.

So, if you're into dimsum. You can give it a try. Maybe it will be a...

The area is very spacious but it was too dim lighted. They have own toilet but no soap in hand wash area.

Staff attentively approached us and he is knowledgeable with the menu. Bill out took a long time though.

Prices are reasonable.

There is no free hot tea unlike in other Chinese restaurants. But there is service water, with option for warm or cold.

Their kitchen looks almost flooded; needs some renovation- PU mortar flooring.

At first we thought this was Tim Ho Wan (the logo).

Tausi fish fillet rice topping has absolutely no visible whole salted black bean.

First time to try veggie roll and I like it! Perfect for those avoiding meat. Brought home pineapple bun. It has fillings and the top crust is...

I heard that their xiaolongbaos are one of the best so we had to order it. We went for the assorted one. IDK but they tasted average to me as I tasted better from the other restaurants. I really didn't like some of the flavors TBH :( What I loved though was their fried mantho, seaweed salad and yangchow. I saw the fried chicken from the other table 😋 so we had to try it too which was okay for me. The staff were not that attentive though. They were chatting with each other at the counter (?) and not paying attention to the customers' needs, we had to call them repeatedly. 😐 Great ambiance though! Seats were comfortable and the place was spacious. Maybe we will come back again to try their other dishes!
