Mr. Sumo Siquijor — Restaurant in San Juan

Sushi was great, unfortunately service let us down. When looking at the menu I noticed the dragon roll in the set menu for larger groups, I asked if it was available out with the set menu which I was told it wasn't. We were sitting outside and a short while after ordering I turned around and noticed the specials board inside the restaurant which had fire dragon roll written on it! We asked the waitress why she said we couldnt get the dragon roll as is shown on the special menu? She replied with attitude that it's fire dragon roll not dragon roll (we ordered a 4 piece and it's basically the same) The vegetable gyoza was also pretty disappointing, very little filling and didn't...

Good service overall, but the food is really not great, and very expensive for the quality you get. We got a sushi boat and we only liked 2 types of sushi out of 6. They tend to have many types of sushi full of sauces and mayoneese, which tend to cover the entire taste of the sushi itself.

On top of a very expensive price already, they charge for ridiculous things, like to take away what you did not finish, which although is very little, sinply seems a bit too much considering the already high price you are paying.

Overall, do not really get the hype...

We were looking for a place to have dinner after swimming on the beach, and we were attracted by the cozy view of this place. The prices are a little higher than the average on the island, but they position themselves as a restaurant so that's ok. The menu is quite varied, food and drinks were brought quickly. The portions are large, you could only order rolls and eat your fill of them. Rolls of excellent quality, which you do not expect to find on such a small island. I recommend to visit at least once to everyone who rests...
