There are so many 5 star elements to this place, it's unfortunate that I'm leaving a 1 star review. The concept is great and the location is magnificent. The tents are well set up, power, ac, comfortable beds. Albeit, our floor had issues and we had to be really careful where we stepped so that we didn't fall right through it.
There are many friendly and helpful staff members and the food is good in the restaurant. The bathrooms are decent, but the showers could be improved and cleaned up more. It looks like upgrades and renovations are ongoing.
It felt safe and welcoming for our family, as it's advertised as family friendly. And then nighttime comes along and this is when it turns into party central and is absolutely not family friendly whatsoever. And this is why I leave a 1 star review.
We ended up here unexpectedly for three nights waiting to transfer over to a nearby airbnb we had booked. The first night, the music was insanely loud. Like we had headphones over ear plugs in our tent quite a distance away from the restaurant/bar, and the music is still all we could hear. It didn't shut down until close to 11pm and noisy people continued on long after that.
We thought maybe it was just because it was Friday night. But nope, this is an every night thing. Our second night, in addition to the music, there was a large group of people camped out in their own tents seemingly off the village property, but literally 12 feet from the back of our tent. They partied ALL night. It sounded like they were standing beside our beds. And they had kids with them who stole my son's sand shovel right from outside our front door and proceeded to destroy it. The group came and went from the village property, sleeping in the chairs on the beachfront and using the bathrooms. And no staff cared about any of it.
At this point, we would have left, but we only needed one more night until our airbnb was ready so we decided to just endure it, thinking that maybe a Sunday night would be quieter. The party group left, replaced by extremely loud people in the tent beside us, which was really pleasant for my kids to have to listen to into the wee hours of the morning, and the loud music continued as per usual.
This is definitely not a family friendly resort if you're a family that likes to sleep at night. It's unfortunate because there are so many great things about this property, but I would never...
Read moreGlamping Siquijor is a good place to experience glam camping at a reasonable price. Glamping is derived from 2 words: Glam + Camping, in short Glamorous Camping...
I love Glamping Siquijor, I personally think that it’s a great place to relax and just enjoy the raw beaches of Siquijor with the perfect view of the sunset. It’s perfect for solo travelers and groups who want to get away from the crowded city.
If you are looking for tranquility and just a place to relax, this is the place to be, owned by Dayana and his Irish husband, Ray. The staff and management are very courteous and accommodating.
The 6 meter-dome tent is provided with beds that are very comfortable. Blankets, pillows and towels are also provided. There is no store or restaurant inside the resort. However, the management provides guests with condiments that you can use when cooking. You can visit the nearby "tiangge" to purchase fresh fish/pork or you can try other local restaurants near the area such as Dagsa Resto Bar and Monkey Business.
Coffee, juice and hot/cold water are free. They are also offering free breakfast which consist of freshly baked doughnuts. Plus, they sell beers/red wine perfect for the bonfire night!
So, if you are looking for a unique adventure- Glamping Siquijor is the next place to visit. Highly...
Read moreI would stay away from this place. I am not one to leave reviews, but I sincerely believe it was an absolute tourist trap. There is nothing 'glam' about this place, especially the tent where you would be sleeping. The only grand feature that this place has is that it is standing in front of a lovely beach with truly beautiful sunsets. Siquijor was enchanting. I booked a quadruple room with breakfast included with my partner. Firstly, breakfast portions that were included were so disappointingly small (like the longsilog had 3 longganisas the size of my little fingers and I tried different options, and they were just sad). Their menu lacked quality and undeservedly expensive. Secondly, their beds and the sheets were supremely uncomfortable, and be ready to clean for no housekeeping will be done during your stay. The 'tents' (not sure what to call them) had holes in them that rats, yes I mean rats, could enter the room. I know because I had to shoo a few away at the middle of the night. Moreover, expect there to be music non-stop so if you hope to have a relaxing and tranquil stay, you will be better off somewhere else. Just all around disappointing. This is not the kind of service I expected from a Filipino hotel with such...
