Chowking — Restaurant in Tacloban

We went there in the early afternoon, there were not so many customers then. However, it was taking too long, about 30 minutes, to serve the meal. We ordered three meals only and no add-ons.

The place is very small and the atmosphere is really subpar compared to other CK branches we went into. The store becomes easily crowded specially during lunch and, perhaps, dinner time.

Fast Chinese food. Nothing fancy. I had the Sweet and Sour Pork Lariat which comes with rice, shrimp chips, Pancit Canton and some sort of rice ball. It was ok. Tasty, but unremarkable. My wife had shomei chow fan, which was shomei on a bed of fried rice and some wonton noodles. Her's was tastier than mine.

Would I go back there again? Yes. Can't say it would be my first...

Surprisingly less greasy food than other Chowking branch. Their services need improvements. The interior design is tolerable, for people ordering take-outs. I mean, the space is so small everything is jampacked and they don't have a spare room for their office (if it's even called an office at all).
