FyZZ Gastropub, located on the 9th floor of XYZ Hotel in downtown Tacloban, is truly a gem for food lovers. From the moment you enter the hotel lobby up to the restaurant itself, the ambiance is modern, classy, and welcoming. Sitting by the window, I was treated to a stunning panoramic view of Tacloban City—a perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience.
The menu offers a creative fusion of Western American, Greek, and Japanese cuisine, making it an exciting spot for those who love variety. I started with their beef nachos, which were flavorful and perfectly balanced with rich cheese and savory meat. Then I had both the pumpkin soup and broccoli soup; while both were satisfying, the pumpkin stood out with its comforting, velvety flavor.
For the main course, I tried the pork tonkatsu—crispy on the outside, tender and meaty inside, complemented by a fresh side veggie salad. To pair with the meal, I ordered the Tropical Passion Pitcher, a refreshing explosion of fruity flavors with orange, mango, and grenadine. Finally, I capped the night with a café latte, smooth, creamy, and the perfect ending note.
Service was excellent—the servers were polite, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, adding to the warm atmosphere. In terms of value for money, FyZZ Gastropub sits in the mid-to-high price range (₱200–₱1000), but the quality of food, portion size, and overall experience make it well worth it. The location is also accessible by all public transport, which makes getting there easy, but parking can be a bit challenging as even the adjacent parking area tends to fill up quickly.
Overall, FyZZ Gastropub offers great food, excellent service, a beautiful view, and a memorable dining experience. Definitely a 5/5 and a must-try when in...

Please take note that this like a resto bar so expect some loud/disco music. Not really a great place if you want to have a conversation over dinner. But if you are ok with a little bit of noise, all their food choices are...
