Gerry's Tagaytay (Gerry's Grill) — Restaurant in Tagaytay

It was a large group of 12 people around the end of June, 2024 and we enjoyed the view of Taal volcano. Scenery was amazing but we didn’t get to enjoy the food because the files swarmed our food and we spent more time shooing the flies away than eating our food. It was gross that the staff didn’t even get affected by the overwhelming presence of flies and that their guests are busy shooing flies away. I will never go back to this place nor recommend it to anybody I know. We went to another restaurant not very far away from Gerry’s for coffee and dessert and it was a totally different ambiance and experience. They had a terrace and people can still enjoy the view but they had a way to close the windows to keep the insects and flies from pestering the customers. Gerry’s can definitely do better with screening the restaurant to minimize exposure to the unwanted flies. I had great experience with Gerry’s before I went to the Tagaytay branch but this experience ruined all the good things I know about...

If there's a 0 star I will give it a 0 for a very poor service! We came at Monday night, party of 6, no one greeted us as we enter except the grumpy security guard. I asked him if we can have a table for 6 and he took my name and wrote it down for the waiting list. He was not very nice at all. We waited for 30 minutes for the table and when a waitress guided us at the table she just left without saying anything and when we're ready to order 6 waiters and waitresses already passed by and all of them said only one thing "wait Lang po". After 20 minutes a new party of 5 came next to our table and they took their order first. We are all pissed off and left. We went to Max's restaurant instead and got a better service. Acknowledging your guest is very important atleast make us feel that we are there or make us feel welcome especially at the door coz we are willing to wait just to eat at...

The food is great filipino cuisine, with nearly all the dishes we tried being great tasting. The service is okay, it is nothing worth writing about—especially since they do nothing about the issue I will talk about. There are flies everywhere, hundreds roaming everywhere, dozens crowding the tables, disturbing our good meal. They crawl on our table, our food, and our bodies, it is absolutely disgusting, almost entirely ruining our meal together. The flies ruined the good food in this restaurant. The bathroom is also wet sadly, with a unknown, off white, watery liquid everywhere, especially the toilet stalls. This place could be great, but the flies and dirty bathroom ruin its strength, the food. Please do something about the flies and dirty bathroom, it is a horrible turn off. Unfortunately, their slogan “You’d still rather be at Gerry’s” is awfully untrue, I would rather NOT...
