We entered Rosario’s, formerly the infamous Josephine’s, on a Saturday at 11 AM with a reservation for 15 people. The interior is exactly the same as it as always been - a homey modern bahay kubo with high arching glass walls. They have Maharlika noble rooms rented for parties and the general area mainly consists of tables for large groups. But the main reason to come here - is its excellent view, overlooking the vast Taal lake and volcano. It’s absolutely breathtaking. Great for photo ops and your viewing pleasure. Um, Rosario’s also serves individual rice in tiny cauldron pots - it’s pretty cute. The service was good, and the food came out efficiently. Our total bill was around P6000. Even in peak time by the way, there is still ample of space, as it is huge. Some foods are a hit, some are alright. The hits include the Sinigang Miso with Bangus - delightgully asim and delicious. This lemony full body fish, unexpectedly tasty mixing a tangy yet savoury edge. The tortang along is great, and the Crispy Pata and Lechon Kawali was indeed crispy. IDK but the Tawalis was kinda bitter, it works better with rice. It just wasn’t to my taste. They also sold food goods near the front, where we got Ube Crinkles and it wasn’t bad. They also have a triplet accoustic band that sings classic songs well, and they approached our table for Happy Birthday tune. If you got a big group, want a nice view and enjoy some good food, go...

Fried chicken was dry, but the flavor was good. But still, choking on dry meat with good flavor was not fun.
Lumpiang shanghai was on the saltier side. You need to rinse it with the sauce so you could eat it without rice.
Sisig was good.
Kalderetta was on the sweeter side. Still good though.
Pinakbet is just right.
Pansit puti was so late. We ordered it with all the food but it arrived 40 mins late. I haven't tasted it since we got it to go because we were already finished when it arrived.
Rice, surprisingly they don't have plain rice for a group. They only sell it solo. I don't know why, but if you are selling Bulalo for sharing, might as well have white rice for group. People don't want to eat Bulalo with fried rice that has hotdog and peas mixed on it.
You know, we liked the place, service was ok, but it was the food that was lacking. Maybe stop focusing on the other stuff and review how the food is. As someone who cooks as well, I believe that "less is more" Actually to be honest, the best food was the cake. They gave that cake for free because the pansit...
