We entered Rosario’s, formerly the infamous Josephine’s, on a Saturday at 11 AM with a reservation for 15 people. The interior is exactly the same as it as always been - a homey modern bahay kubo with high arching glass walls. They have Maharlika noble rooms rented for parties and the general area mainly consists of tables for large groups. But the main reason to come here - is its excellent view, overlooking the vast Taal lake and volcano. It’s absolutely breathtaking. Great for photo ops and your viewing pleasure. Um, Rosario’s also serves individual rice in tiny cauldron pots - it’s pretty cute. The service was good, and the food came out efficiently. Our total bill was around P6000. Even in peak time by the way, there is still ample of space, as it is huge. Some foods are a hit, some are alright. The hits include the Sinigang Miso with Bangus - delightgully asim and delicious. This lemony full body fish, unexpectedly tasty mixing a tangy yet savoury edge. The tortang along is great, and the Crispy Pata and Lechon Kawali was indeed crispy. IDK but the Tawalis was kinda bitter, it works better with rice. It just wasn’t to my taste. They also sold food goods near the front, where we got Ube Crinkles and it wasn’t bad. They also have a triplet accoustic band that sings classic songs well, and they approached our table for Happy Birthday tune. If you got a big group, want a nice view and enjoy some good food, go...

Welp.... Bulalo doesn't really taste like bulalo... the supposedly beef taste of the broth got overpowered by roasted garlic and spring onions. I was with someone from a different country and even she agreed that it doesn't taste like Bulalo.

Fried chicken was dry, but the flavor was good. But still, choking on dry meat with good flavor was not fun.

Lumpiang shanghai was on the saltier side. You need to rinse it with the sauce so you could eat it without rice.

Sisig was good.

Kalderetta was on the sweeter side. Still good though.

Pinakbet is just right.

Pansit puti was so late. We ordered it with all the food but it arrived 40 mins late. I haven't tasted it since we got it to go because we were already finished when it arrived.

Rice, surprisingly they don't have plain rice for a group. They only sell it solo. I don't know why, but if you are selling Bulalo for sharing, might as well have white rice for group. People don't want to eat Bulalo with fried rice that has hotdog and peas mixed on it.

You know, we liked the place, service was ok, but it was the food that was lacking. Maybe stop focusing on the other stuff and review how the food is. As someone who cooks as well, I believe that "less is more" Actually to be honest, the best food was the cake. They gave that cake for free because the pansit...

Bulalo 10/10 very tender and perfect for the atmosphere of the place. Must pair it with patis, calamansi and sili to have that very satisfactory bulalo experience.

Pancit Guisado 100/10 would definitely make you crave for more. Noodles were cooked perfectly. This is a must try. My new favorite dish.

Lumpiang Shanghai 10/10 my son could'nt get enough of it. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Sisig 9/10 adequate proportion of meat, liver and onions.

Bolognese 10/10 a must try for pasta lovers. Really have that italian flare to the dish.

Fried Chicken 9/10 not your fast food kind of chicken but it's the real home made kind of chicken, a bit dry.

Beef Tapa 10/10 has that perfect chew that I always look for a tapa.

Chicken asado 8/10 not a fan, a bit dry.

Bangus 10/10 big piece and seasoned perfectly and definitely a fresh catch. Perfect pair for the atsara and salted egg.

Embutido 10/10 balanced

Drinks 10/10 my kids loved the fresh mango and the vanilla milkshake

Chiffon/sponge cake 10/10

Silvañas 10/10 improved a lot and has a very good amount of buttercream

Service 10/10 even though there's a lot of customer, the food was served in a timely manner considering the queue. Besides, the view was really scenic and could take away some of your hunger. The best viewing spot of taal...

Their food is okay but nothing extraordinary. We ordered Sinigang na Salmon sa Miso- miso flavor is lacking; Kapampangan Sisig- oily, nothing special here mej nakakaumay; Rosario Rice- this is good on its own, not bagay with ulam kasi parehas may flavor ung kanin ang ulam so naumay kami; and Queso Kaldereta- this is the only thing we liked, cheese in kaldereta is always giving! Their fruitshake is overpriced, not flavorful, not even sweet; the drinks were served waaaay too early btw so tunaw na and watered down pagdating ng food. Their servers are nice naman kaso andami nila compared sa number ng cxs when we visited pero their not attentive when you need water refill. Their receptionists who welcomed us (yes, multiple since madami nga sila) are nice and welcoming. However, when we were leaving I asked nicely if we can have another paper bag for the take out pero yung nalapitan namin seemed annoyed because she needs to go somewhere pa to get the paper bag (their place is quite big so baka it was such an inconvenience that I asked another paperbag kasi need nya pa lumakad. Mind you, she even offered plastic bag na lang samin, idk maybe because we are not that dressed up when we visited :< Well all in all, only thing i commend is their ambience, interiors, and the overlooking view of Taal.
