I enjoy hanging out in Angkan 257 branch with my dog because they’re pet friendly.
Its design as a cafe is pretty unique, so I get to stare out the window and enjoy the BGC scenery.
What goes well all the time:
-I like the single origin version of their coffee. I’d say better in terms of taste, texture and the overall experience
Whether it’s a single origin latte or single origin mocha, they’re smooth and doesn’t leave an after taste.
-I enjoy the fact that you can change the milk for FREE.
My stomach has been enemies with full cream milk for sometime now.
Luckily, Angkan has taken into consideration the alternative milk options.
So if you’re lactose intolerant, you can go for soy or oat milk. And the price is coming out cheaper than the other big coffee chains.
-The latte art that they do is very cute. There was a time that I even got a seahorse!
-The best tipid hack for a morning rush meal is definitely pandelitos + coffee from Angkan.
Don’t be deceived, the pandelitos may be small but they fill your tummy well.
-The experience is consistent in the store and they welcome even big dogs so I enjoy my stay all the time.
What can still be improved:
-The non-single origin products are not really my type.
I’m not sure if anybody had the same experience-there is a little after taste.
But for some reason, it’s not as bad if you choose another type of milk
-They are not so proactive in answering the queries via phone call or sms. It takes a while for them to respond.
One time I had a concern with my coffee and it took some time before they responded.
-Every mid afternoon when the sun is up with vengeance, it feels like the place is not cool enough (but to be fair, it’s because of the glass windows design)
So whenever the sun is shining through the glass, I just hide myself somewhere or go during the morning.
-There are times that oat milk supply doesn’t get delivered and so, you’ll have to ask in advance if they have.
I think this is beyond their control, however I wished they always had some on stock
Overall, I give them the 4 stars because they’re doing their best to make the customer experience a great one.
Thank you...
Read moreAngkan Coffee is a coffee shop known for its minimalist and aesthetic ambiance. Its branch in 25-7 McKinley has high ceilings, predominantly white and gray interiors, and features like an amphitheater-style seating area. Many visitors find the space aesthetically pleasing and "Instagram-worthy,".
Angkan Coffee offers a straightforward menu with both espresso-based drinks and non-coffee options. They use both local blends such as their Angkan Blend and single-origin beans. I ordered the Cafe Latte in soy, which tasted great - creamy and rich, in Short size priced at Php165.
It is a good spot for those who appreciate a minimalist and cozy environment, ideal for casual hangouts. But extended stay could be a bit uncomfrotable since their seating has no back rest. The coffee quality is good (so far on this visit), but I need to go back to have a taste of their other offerings...
Read moreThe place is asthetically pleasing and something new concept. I was going to get mcdo coffee but was intrigued by the place so I said I am going to try it out. Minimalist modern clean vibes. The staff were not as friendly or attentive compared to SB (i think they are the standard). Its a clean as you go concept and they use environment friendly materials from their straw, fork, etc. For dine in its good if u only have coffee/drinks but when u buy a pastry its not much of a good experience since they just give it to you wrapped in baking paper. I'd prefer to have a plate and fork. Its a little pricer than SB but lesser in service and taste. Was not satifies with their salted caramel more on milky taste...
