We invited our Japanese friends to try this restaurant so I made a reservation for Teppanyaki Table for a great dining experience.
We ordered 3 Chef Okochi's Angus and Wagyu Steak Course (Steaks in Medium Rare) (Php 3,500/course) and 1 Okonomiyaki for our little Japanese friend.
We started with appetizers. The course includes 4 varieties of starters. It has sweet tamago, salmon sushi, chicken balls, beans, a prawn, a fish and mixed veggies. I'm not expecting much with the appetizers so everything on my plate was just fine.
Next was the fresh salad which I really like. It was sprinkled with lots of parmesan cheese. 😍
I fell inlove with the grilled scallop during my first visit here and when I saw it again on my plate, this time with Sea Urchin sauce, I was too excited to try it and I was still impressed with how delicious it was. I like the Grilled Jumbo Prawn with Lemon Truffle Oil as well as the Salmon Eggs.
Before the mains, Okonomiyaki was served. This is the best tasting Okonomiyaki so far.
Before I finished my Okonomiyaki, they served the mains. That time I was already full but still I have to fight to finish the battle.
Mains were served together with the garlic rice and miso soup. Steaks were so tender and juicy. The garlic rice was so good. Likewise with the miso soup.
Lastly, Japanese sweets were served together with our coffee and tea. We had Matcha Tiramisu Cake, fruit jellies and a cookie.
Overall dining experience was excellent. We were given an exceptional customer service. Aside from that, they gave us a complimentary T-shirt which we really appreciate.
Will be back soon! 😊
Initial post:
Best teppanyaki restaurant in the city! 👌🏻😃
We ordered Business Lunch Course and Ladies Lunch Course from the menu. We really enjoyed everything they served on our table. They have the best okonomiyaki ever! 👌🏻 The seafoods were of great quality and were delicious especially scallops😊

We tried the set menu and it was a very mixed experience. The starters were very confusing, especially the salad that was a few lettuce leaves drowning in dressing. The first server didn't explain any of the starters upon serving.
The okonomiyaki was good. The seafood plate was okay. The miso soup was pretty hearty. The second server who handled us the rest of the night at least explained the dishes being served.
I had the Wagyu steak main and that was quite good even if it had the same grilled veggies as the seafood plate. But to be fair, this was really good steal and this mostly salvaged the dinner. My partner had the yakiniku jyu, but that tasted more like tocino and didn't really let the Wagyu shine. Plus the rice wasn't sticky so it is as doubly hard to eat with all the sauce.
The dessert ended up being two boxes of Pocky, so we didn't bother asking about the coffee or tea that came with the set.
If we do decide to go back, we'll skip the set and maybe...
Read moreI cannot follow how this place has any positive reviews. The interior looks almost fine dining like, but the food is a farcry from anything of that sort. We were there in a Thursday evening. The place was empty. One other couple in one or their private booths. We sat at the teppan grill seating. I think my highlight for the evening was the San Miguel Pilsen beer. Let's start with the absolute bored look on the faces of the cooks. We ordered Okonomiyaki, yakisoba, grilled vegetables, omurice and a pasta dish. Each one was worse than the one preceding it. I think the least objectionable were the grilled vegetables. Although the daikon ponzu dipping sauce was extremely sour. I won't go into the details regarding the other dishes. Suffices to say they bordered on the barely edible. All in all, quite a sad way to spend our last night in Manila. As for the staff, except for one waiter, the others seemed more interested in their laptops. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Update : Stick to beer, sake or soju. I think the water I drank at the end is giving me an...
