Bad impression is not easy to erase, but we visited this place again, after a long time of self - imposed "sabbatical", and everything was fine. So I must revise my review from below: We had few different types of pierogis, all were freshly made and very tasty. We will definitely start visiting this restaurant again, but for the time being we will not order any delivery 😉*Sadly I had to revise the rating from 5 to 3 stars. I am very disappointed with the delivery I received from this restaurant. I ordered multiple pierogi dishes today, through the SOODI website, and I received a confirmation stating my order will arrived in one hour. It took TWO hours, and pierogis arrived cold, hardened and stuck together. Four dishes of big mess. While waiting for the delivery I called the restaurant and tried to find out when did the delivery man pick up my order. I was treated in a very disrespectful way and the person I spoke to hung up the phone, without giving me ANY type of answer. Only when the delivery man arrived I was able to get an answer. He actually picked up the order 1,5 hours after I ordered it, so the one-hour delivery was a lie. This meal was a disaster I had guests from abroad and I wanted for them to be able to taste authentic Polish pierogis, the cold, gluey mass which arrived in my house was nothing I, or my guests, could have ever imagine. The review below is my original review from my first visit, long time ago, and it was rated with five stars. What a shame!
Great place in the Center of town, cool interior design and attentive staff. It was not our first time, but we had different, very tasty meat pierogis and kolduny (small, local pierogis similar to tortellini) this time. All freshly made (see pictures of ladies actually preparing them). Restaurant has his own, enclosed play ground, so bring your children, it is fun watching how pierogis are made, eating them and playing too! 😉 I wish there is a traditional Polish chicken soup on the menu, maybe even with kolduny or uszka... The tomato soup was not good. It has nothing to do with the tomato soups I am used to in Poland. It was gluey, with soggy noodles and to much spice reminiscent of so called "Maggi". What happened to the traditional, light, sweetly/sour homemade tomato soup, with a gulp of fresh sour cream on the top? The only real problem is PARKING, there is practically NO parking on the same side of the street, so be prepared, park on the opposite side and...
Read moreWe've been here a couple of times for lunch and were very pleased. For 30 zlotys we get soup (3 to choose from), a small portion of dumplings (5 to choose from) and salad (3 to choose from). Everything is very tasty and definitely worth the money. We also took 1 liter of lemonade, not everyone - a very cool refreshing drink (also several to choose from). We also tried different dumplings from the main menu, which were also quite tasty. The waitresses were pleasant and spoke English (also they have English menu, but not the lunch one), and the restaurant itself has an outside summer terrace and indoor dining. Some tables have a waiter call button. Highly recommend...
Read moreAmazing pierogi! The Bialowieskie were probably the best pierogi we have ever had! They are all hand-made on your watch. Tiny bit overpriced for Bialystok. Service not terrible but could be better - we were not greeted so just took any table and waited for it to be cleaned but it wasn’t. Meanwhile we also waited for the menu but it never came - we had to take it from another table. Then we had to call the waitress to place the order and ask her to clean the table - otherwise I have a feeling we would wait forever. Get this in order and you could be the best pierogarnia on the Eastern side of the...
