Tako Sushi — Restaurant in Bydgoszcz

I posted to a Bydgoszcz FB group asking what was the best restaurant and a few people mentioned TAKO Sushi so I decided to try it. I made a reservation for two on a Saturday evening. We ordered cherry tea and seaweed salad, as well as a "chef's choice" sushi dinner in "medium". I also ordered some sashimi.

Pros: super cute place. Sashimi was fresh and really tasty. They give you a lot of pickled ginger, which I love. Chef's special was interesting. Typically I am a basic sushi girl, not too keen on all the sauces and tempura and such, but wanted to try something new. One of the rolls, I believe, had an egg wrapper. Another roll tasted like a mango version of a Philadelphia roll with rice paper. The other two rolls had tempura. All in all, I was satisfied with the taste. The tea was good, although very mild. Brownie points for the server who rang us up that spoke English.

Cons: we had to wait roughly 20 min for a server or anyone to even look at us. Two other women sat up at the bar and they were served immediately, which did not feel very welcoming. Secondly, I asked specifically for my sashimi to be served with our main dish as I like to eat it with my sushi and it was brought out beforehand. These aren't huge issues, but I would make it a point to make sure staff are more attentive.

As a suggestion, it would be awesome if edamame, pork belly buns, boba tea, and mochi were added to the menu (not sure if this is possible in Poland).

I would come back here again as there appear to be many items to try, and the ramen looked very appetizing. Generally, a good experience...

Tako Sushi is a small but nice vibrant place. It's a upbeat fusion style a little bit too cramped therefore it looses a bit comfort.

They have a big variety of food, we a the vegetarian bao, vege spring rolls and the vege sushi set number 2. The food was ok but nothing outstanding. It lacks of flavor and balance the decorations are simply not there. The service was good and friendly but completely overwhelmed while it was Saturday and very full there were 6 staff employees and 2 waiterress, while the staff was preparing the food and had fun even dancing behind the corner (no problem if you have fun at work but please help the waitress out!). So we had to wait for service but I could see how busy they were.

Its ok for a sushi place but don't expect something...

Bylam w ubiegły piątek w Tako. Drugi raz z rzędu od samego wejścia zmierzyłam się z niemiłym spojrzeniem Pani kelnerki. Czekam zawsze na kogoś z obsługi po wejściu bo wiem ze zwykle stoliki są zarezerwowane wiec nie wchodzę i nie siadam od tak z wejścia. Kelnerka z łaską wysłała mnie i męża do miejsca przy barze. Niestety już się rozbierając i siadając usłyszeliśmy ze jednak nie mamy siadać na tym miejscu i dostaliśmy stolik. Wszystko ok o ile cała ta sytuacja nie sprawiła że znów bo już dugi raz czułam się dziwnie potraktowana. Wcześniej tłumaczyłam sobie zachowanie tej kelnerki, może źle coś odebrałam ALE po tym jak czekałam na zamówienie do lokalu weszła kobieta i usidla do stolika który był w trakcie sprzątania wiec nie było przy nim plakietki z rezerwacją. Podchodzi od niej wspomniana kelnerka i pyta czy Pani ma rezerwacje na co odpowiada przecząco. Ta pierwsza rzuca ze nie może tu usiąść bo maja rezerwacje i musi sprawdzić gdzie może Panią posadzić po czym z fochem odwraca się napięcie. Jak zobaczyłam twarz i reakcje tej kobiety już wiedziałam że nie mylę się odbierając zachowanie tej kelnerki. Wspolniana klientka aż zdębiała i poczuła się bardzo niekomfortowo, po wyrazie twarzy i mowie ciała można było to czytać jak z książki. Mój apel do właściciela i kelnerki w czarnych włosach z czarnymi okularami: zmień proszę podejście do ludzi jeśli zachowujesz się tak nieświadomie lub zmień pracę bo Twoja aparycja nie nadaje się na takie stanowisko. Jeśli właściciel chce dać Ci szansę to proponuję jakieś szkolenie z obsługi gości w lokalu. Nic absolutnie nie można zarzucić Panu z odcieniem niebieskiego na włosach, bardzo przyjemna obsługa. Rozumiem ze macie dobre jedzenie i ono się zawsze obroni, ale przez takie osoby może odechcieć się przychodzić w tak dobre miejsce. Uwielbiam Wasze rameny, ale proszę zróbcie coś z takim zachowaniem obsługi. 3 gwiazdki niestety za tą obsługę....
