Shrimp House — Restaurant in Katowice

Shrimp House is a fantastic bistro all about prawns (not shrimps which are the smaller version). The food is delicious, although I must say it depends who's in the kitchen. I usually order Pad Thai and it's usually different. Last time wasn't the best but grilled prawns never disappoint! There is a choice of 4 or 8 or 12 of them and the prices aren't too bad (Pad Thai which is a big dish with 8 prawns, 52 zloty). If someone likes garlic, Italian kind of a soup is very nice but very garlicky, it comes with a baguette. They also have curries, salads and fried prawns. But I would always recommend grilled prawns, by far the best! I like this place very much but it's not a restaurant where you go to chill out. You order, pay, collect your food and drinks, eat and get out. It's not the biggest either. There aren't any hot drinks last time I checked there, which is a pity. I'd ordered Pad Thai and I honestly wasn't a big fan of the dish. There were too many noodles, too few tofu pieces and I felt like there should've been one more ingredient. I can't tell what exactly was missing, but the meal felt too big and bland. As for the shrimp itself, mine tasted slightly burnt or charred. It was quite a disappointing experience since I was really looking forward to having some shrimp, but left the restaurant regretting my choice.

As for everything else: It wasn't that busy on Thursday evening so there were multiple seats to choose from. The restaurant is designed as a fast food service so you have to order and pay at the counter and you also need to go pick up your food once it's ready. I do feel like the wait times are shorter thanks to this. The cashier was nice and could communicate...

The stuff is rude and not Respectable, I arrived to eat at 09:00pm today on Friday 19.09.2025 (almost one hour ago) and I asked normal details about the menu as I am new in KATOWICE and I wanted to try shrimps at shrimp house. The man on cashier machine was rude and laughing without reason when I ask and started another girl to laugh. Am I look like a clown or comedian Infront of you. Laughing without reason is rudeness.

I left the shop and I went to eat at another place where there is responsible and respectable stuff. Bad stuff.
