Restauracja Rockabilly Steakhouse and Whisky Bar — Restaurant in Kielce

This was the last time I came to this what it used to be my favourite spot.

I booked a table for 6 people two months prior, when we arrived I was brought to a couch table designed for 4 people with one additional chair. I raised my concern and only then the host suggested another table which would have enough space for meal and drinks of 6 people.

We ordered, host did not take the written note of our order, made a memory note of order of 6 people.

Steak board ordered medium came cooked rare and cold. The host asked why the meat is cold, responded that meat has to rest after its cooked, hence it might not be hot.

The wings, event though there are two variations of them on the menu, came spicy, event though the ordered variation was bbq.

We carried on with the meal, trying not to make it any worse than it already was.

We eventually sent back the steaks to the kitchen to cook them a bit more as they were actually impossible to be consumed, not cooked at all. That was done.

We continued on, ate the meal, then waited for the host to take drinks orders, which only happened after one of my guests came up to the bar. Then after meal was finished, one of my guests ordered cheesecake, host again didn't take a note of it as they thought that my guest did not want the cheesecake. After about 40 minutes when asked, they apologised and brought it in.

Just a really disappointing experience overall, and will not be...

Simply superb.

I came here with my husband by accident, really, and I'm very glad we did. I adore the atmosphere, the design, the music. I could stay here all day.

Service was perfectly fine, pleasant and expedient.

There is not much choice for vegetarians (and I didn't expect that there will be - it's a steakhouse after all), but there was one vege burger made with chickpea that I found quite tasty. Currently, that burger is sadly not available anymore, they offer some burger with egg and potato pancake, which I would not want ot eat. My husband really enjoyed his burger as well - he said that the quality of meat is great. Besides burgers, we tried marinated cucumbers in honey and found this surprising combination quite pleasing.

Restauracja w Kielcach funkcjonuje dość długo, a mimo to nie udało mi się do niej wcześniej dotrzeć. Znajduje się w dość reprezentacyjnym miejscu, bo na rynku. Miejsce zobowiązuje... No niestety, zamówione jedzenie nie było takie jakiego się spodziewałem. Byłem tam w większej grupie, zamówiliśmy hamburgery i łososia. Przy zamawianiu, zostalismy poproszeni o podanie stopnia wysmażenia mięsa. Niestety, podane hamburgery, za wyjatkiem jednego były niedosmażone. W takim miejscu, gdzie mięso gra pierwszoplanową rolę jest to niewybaczalne. Widac bylo nawet, że kotlet z jednej strony był dłużej smażony niż z drugiej. Sama konsystencja mięsa ok. Ogólnie hamburger nie był niedobry. Był za to dość słony, za słony, gdyż pierwsze co atakowało kubki smakowe to sól. Zamówione frytki do hamburgera były smaczne, polecam. A teraz łosoś.... podano surową w środku rybę. Nie wiem czy to niedoświadczenie kucharza czy inne względy, ale widać, że w tym temacie, zasadniczym dla prowadzenia restauracji, coś nie gra. Ryba została wymieniona, otrzymaliśmy prawidłowo usmażoną. Mimo propozycji ponownego przygotowania hamburgerów, nie skorzystaliśmy. W ramach rekompensaty, otrzymaliśmy rabat, co jest dużym plusem w tym przypadku i za to dodatkowa gwiazdka. Lokal klimatyczny, przyjemny. Ogólna ocena mogłaby być lepsza, gdyby nie surowa ryba i niedosmażone kotlety. Jak wskazalem powyżej miejsce i profil restauracji...
