CULT RESTAURANT | KARAOKE | BAR — Restaurant in Krakow

The experience at this café was truly disappointing. My friends and I tried calling to book a table, but couldn’t get through. Eventually, we found an online booking form, filled it out, and received some vague message in small print saying they’d call us to confirm. No timeline, no clarity.

We arrived to find an almost empty restaurant. When we mentioned our online form, the administrator (straight out of the 90s with pointy shoes) rudely scolded us in Russian: “If we didn’t call you back, the reservation is not confirmed.” Then he said, “Well, you’re lucky we have one table left.”

Oddly enough, they asked us where we’d like to sit — we said karaoke. We walked in, and there were just two whispering tables, the atmosphere was incredibly awkward, filled with smoke from a single hookah — barely breathable. It felt like one of those outdated, sketchy student bars from the early 2000s.

They also informed us there’s a 120 PLN per person deposit, which was another surprise. When we asked to sit upstairs, we were told “no,” even though they had just asked us where we’d like to sit.

This place doesn’t feel like modern Ukraine. It feels like a throwback to the early 2000s Ukraine — especially with hookahs still being a thing. Not recommended.

⸻ To miejsce to totalne rozczarowanie. Z koleżankami próbowałyśmy zarezerwować stolik telefonicznie — bez skutku. Znalazłyśmy formularz online, po wypełnieniu którego pojawił się jakiś mały druk o tym, że skontaktują się z nami, by potwierdzić rezerwację. Zero konkretów, żadnej informacji, ile trzeba czekać.

Wchodzimy do pustej restauracji, mówimy o formularzu, a tu podchodzi pani (jak z lat 90., z butami w szpicach) i w dość nieprzyjemny sposób mówi po rosyjsku: „Jeśli nie zadzwoniliśmy, to nie ma rezerwacji.” Potem rzuca: „Macie farta, że jeszcze jeden stolik jest wolny.”

Pytają nas, gdzie chcemy siedzieć — mówimy, że w karaoke. Wchodzimy — tylko dwa stoliki zajęte, ludzie coś szeptają, klimat bardzo niekomfortowy. W dodatku cały lokal zadymiony od jednego shishy — nie da się oddychać. Przypominało to spelunę z lat 2000.

I jeszcze mówią, że trzeba zapłacić 120 zł depozytu za osobę — poczułyśmy się jak na studiach. Gdy zapytałyśmy, czy możemy usiąść na górze, powiedzieli, że nie — mimo że wcześniej pytali, gdzie chcemy siedzieć.

To miejsce nie reprezentuje współczesnej Ukrainy — bardziej przypomina tę z początku lat 2000. Sam fakt, że mają shishę, mówi wszystko. Nie polecam.

⸻ Це кафе — справжнє розчарування. Ми з подругами намагались забронювати столик телефоном — марно. Знайшли онлайн-форму, заповнили її, надійшло якесь повідомлення дрібним шрифтом, що з нами зв’яжуться для підтвердження. Жодних термінів, жодної чіткої інформації.

Приходимо — ресторан майже порожній. Кажемо, що бронювали через форму, а aдміністратор (ніби з 90-х, у гостроносих туфлях) починає нас “виховувати” російською: «Якщо ми не подзвонили — значить не підтверджено». Потім додає: «Вам дуже пощастило, що є один вільний столик».

Запитують, де хочемо сісти — кажемо: у караоке. Заходимо — лише два столики зайняті, люди щось пошепки говорять. Атмосфера дуже напружена, ще й все в димі через один кальян — дихати нічим. Все це нагадало стару забігайлівку з нульових.

Ще й кажуть, що у них депозит 120 злотих з людини. Відчули себе, ніби повернулись у студентські часи. Запитали, чи можна сісти нагорі — сказали, що ні, хоча перед цим самі питали, де нам зручно.

Цей заклад — не про сучасну Україну, а про ту, якою вона була в нульових. Навіть кальяни тут нагадують про це....

Terrible place overall. We ordered shots in advance, and they charged them as “Signature Cocktails” at 50 each — pure scam. Karaoke was a joke: with only 4 tables in the whole room, our table of 5 people was told we could sing just one song in a circle, while other tables of 5 were allowed two songs. On top of that, they even added a service charge that, according to the menu, only applies to groups of 6 or more.

To make it worse, the woman responsible for queuing songs clearly had no idea about the music — she wasn’t familiar with the compositions at all and didn’t even know how English songs are supposed to be written or searched for. Totally unprofessional.

The only good thing — the hookah was actually great. But everything else: dishonest pricing, clueless staff, and total disrespect for guests. Definitely not...

We had an amazing experience at this Ukrainian restaurant on Christmas! The food was outstanding and felt so authentic. We started with Kutia, a traditional Christmas dish, which was just the right mix of sweetness and flavor. The duck was tender and perfectly cooked, the Olivie salad was fresh, creamy, and comforting - just like something you’d have at a family gathering.

The potato pancakes with caviar were definitely a highlight - crispy, delicious, and so satisfying. We also tried a plate of assorted meats, which was full of rich, savory flavors and great variety.
