Good, but not great. My chicken sous vide was on the one hand an interesting concept with strong flavours (as it should be) but on the plate a disappointingly small portion of chicken was dwarfed by the panned leaf, which was extremely salty. Also, the truffle did not come through with sufficient punch. The mascarpone-based cheesecake was a very pleasant consistency and (pleasantly) not very sweet, but the delicate layer of pistachio was completely overpowered by the ‘accesories’ (a combination of bramble icecream (in itself nice) and bramble coulis) - the main ingredient was completely lost. The only choice of table red was actually remarkably good - well done on the wine front. The service was not extremely ‘into it’ (no axe to grind - I blame a long day) but otherwise very professional and helpful. The patio was a very nice summer location. A place with potential for a casual meeting with friends, but not quite there if you’d like to impress your guests with truly ‘perfetto’...
Read moreI have visited Pino garden several times and not the first time as i regulary visit the venue for Rugby. The food is good but the BIGGEST LET DOWN is the attitude of the staff and the verrry slow service. At one point, wanted give some feddback to the staff and they were so full of themselves they told me to get my own drinks from the bar. They dont take critism very well. It took around 20 mins to make a small Latte and a expresso which cost 26zl and i had to go and ask for it AGAIN during a very slow afternoon. I could imagine how long it will take during busy hours. The servers just did not care. I hope the managers and owners of this bar seriously think about the staff attitude and change for good otherwise it will gradually go downhill as all businesses main growth comes from its staff. Very sad but that's the reallity. The staff think they are top of the world and noone can say anything. what a disgrace. Just loosing revenue. Not the Pino Garden i...
Read moreI had a nice dinner here recently, since the restaurant is relatively close to the hotel I stayed at. Only afterwards did I find out that this is a chain with several locations throughout Krakow but it didn’t detract from the positive experience. The menu is specialized in Italian cuisine with a nice mix of pasta, pizza and salad dishes. I went for the Piccante pizza and it was great. Especially the dough really delighted me with an airy and super nice consistency. The toppings complemented the base really well and the quality of the pizza can certainly compete with the ones you get in Italy. The service was friendly, speaking good English, and the outside seating area is spacious and relaxing, although the lighting at my table was somewhat garish. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse. While I wasn’t disappointed at all, it could have been slightly creamier and more indulgent. Overall, this was a pleasant dining experience and I can definitely...
