Lately, I’ve been in my sushi era and trying to discover good spots around the city. While I haven’t tried many yet, I think I’ve started on the right foot. My latest visit was to Youmiko, and it turned out to be a genuinely good experience. We ordered the omakase (9 portions, totaling 30 pieces), and I was impressed not only by the flavors but also by the pacing as each portion arrived roughly every 3–4 minutes, which was ideal. I liked every single portion, but my favorites were: -the one topped with onions, -the roll with a slightly longer nori wrap, and -the salmon piece with additional salmon on top. The place is quite small, with a few extra tables downstairs, so I highly recommend making a reservation through their website or by phone. Cleanliness was top notch for real that is probably the best I’ve seen in town, including the restroom. While I was very satisfied with the food, I want to be fair in my review and mention that I experienced a slight stomach discomfort later that evening (a bit of a heartburn). I'm not sure if it was caused by the meal or something else, so I plan to revisit to confirm. That said, based on this first visit, even though I don't consider myself an expert in Japanese cuisine or sushi, I can definitely recommend the place. Looking forward to updating this review after my next visit. Thanks to the team!

Hands down, the best sushi I've ever had. I got the vegan omasake and was absolutely blown away by how flavourful it was. My friends each got a plate of okimari and some sashimi and they were beautifully presented. Each dish was so carefully prepared and you can really tell how much attention and detail they put into creating the menu. The atmosphere was really cosy and the staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, and super fun to chat to. I'd recommend sitting at the bar for the best experience. And don't be afraid to ask questions! The price is a little more than you'd pay for sushi elsewhere in Poland, but the value for money is incredible. Especially for someone travelling there with Euro. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. We definitely have to return to Krakow just for this sushi. (Preferably for the all-vegan Sunday menu.)

Let me start with this: many places deserve 4 or 5 stars. I give 5 stars to places I would come back any time. If I could give 6 stars for Youmiko Sushi, I would. I could eat here every day, twice. This tiny places serves among the best sushi I have eaten, period. We had the Omasake tasting menu for 2 and were very full in the end. Pair it with a nice glass of wine or a Japanese beer and you will have the best night. To make things even better, their staff is very friendly and forthcoming. When we asked to get more tea, they didn’t ‘sell’ us another pot but suggested we top it up with hot water, at no cost. Now that’s service excellence! The food was too good to waste time taking many pictures. Go try it yourself and send me your bill if you’re not happy (joke - it won’t be necessary!).

Overrated. I was looking for a different sushi place yesterday because I didn't want to go where I always go. When I saw the comments and score here, I decided to try this place. They're definitely exaggerating the comments here:

pros: fresh sushi and delicious, they tell you which sushi you should eat with soy sauce, natural wine, the waiter is friendly

Cons: It's so expensive, you expect sushi to be big when you pay that much money. The sushis are the smallest size. We went at 7pm and waitress were told us to come back at 8:30pm. We said we are too hungry, let us give the order in advance, they said you can order it when you come. We ordered our sushi sets when we arrived and we waited a long time. Even sushi was coming one by one.

We ordered Chef's Choice because accourding to Google comments it is the incredible one, there are 18 pieces of sushi in it for 2 people. You have to pay 100 zloty for vegetables one or 110 zloty for fish version. They told us this menu is for 2 people. Then i was expecting it will come bigger sushi roll. I still order another 6 piece sushi set in any case. Except last 4 pieces, all the sushis that came were very small and I got up without getting satisfied where I paid 160 zloty in total. It's a different comedy, There was an ugly curtain between the tables when the people at the side tables don't see you through the curtain and hitting you constantly during dinner.

I don't think I will go again.

Conclusion: Food is not only food. Atmosphere, hitting customer, ugly curtains, service time, portions according to price are so...

Youmiko Sushi in Kraków is a phenomenal sushi bar that will transport your taste buds straight to Japan. Offering an exquisite tasting menu, this cozy spot should be on every sushi lover's must-visit list.

The ambiance at Youmiko is intimate and relaxed, with stylish decor and soft lighting that set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff are genuinely passionate about their craft, and their warm hospitality made us feel right at home.

Opting for the tasting menu was one of the best decisions we made. Each dish was an artwork in itself, meticulously prepared with the freshest ingredients and masterfully presented. The balance of flavors, textures, and colors was truly remarkable, showcasing the chef's extraordinary talent and creativity.

Pairing our meal with the recommended natural wine enhanced the entire experience, adding an extra layer of depth and complexity to the flavors on our plates.

Youmiko Sushi has undoubtedly set a new standard for sushi in Kraków. If you're looking for an exceptional culinary journey that goes beyond your expectations, Youmiko Sushi is the...
