Overrated. I was looking for a different sushi place yesterday because I didn't want to go where I always go. When I saw the comments and score here, I decided to try this place. They're definitely exaggerating the comments here:
pros: fresh sushi and delicious, they tell you which sushi you should eat with soy sauce, natural wine, the waiter is friendly
Cons: It's so expensive, you expect sushi to be big when you pay that much money. The sushis are the smallest size. We went at 7pm and waitress were told us to come back at 8:30pm. We said we are too hungry, let us give the order in advance, they said you can order it when you come. We ordered our sushi sets when we arrived and we waited a long time. Even sushi was coming one by one.
We ordered Chef's Choice because accourding to Google comments it is the incredible one, there are 18 pieces of sushi in it for 2 people. You have to pay 100 zloty for vegetables one or 110 zloty for fish version. They told us this menu is for 2 people. Then i was expecting it will come bigger sushi roll. I still order another 6 piece sushi set in any case. Except last 4 pieces, all the sushis that came were very small and I got up without getting satisfied where I paid 160 zloty in total. It's a different comedy, There was an ugly curtain between the tables when the people at the side tables don't see you through the curtain and hitting you constantly during dinner.
I don't think I will go again.
Conclusion: Food is not only food. Atmosphere, hitting customer, ugly curtains, service time, portions according to price are so...
Read moreLately, I’ve been in my sushi era and trying to discover good spots around the city. While I haven’t tried many yet, I think I’ve started on the right foot. My latest visit was to Youmiko, and it turned out to be a genuinely good experience.
We ordered the omakase (9 portions, totaling 30 pieces), and I was impressed not only by the flavors but also by the pacing as each portion arrived roughly every 3–4 minutes, which was ideal. I liked every single portion, but my favorites were:
-the one topped with onions, -the roll with a slightly longer nori wrap, and -the salmon piece with additional salmon on top.
The place is quite small, with a few extra tables downstairs, so I highly recommend making a reservation through their website or by phone. Cleanliness was top notch for real that is probably the best I’ve seen in town, including the restroom.
While I was very satisfied with the food, I want to be fair in my review and mention that I experienced a slight stomach discomfort later that evening (a bit of a heartburn). I'm not sure if it was caused by the meal or something else, so I plan to revisit to confirm. That said, based on this first visit, even though I don't consider myself an expert in Japanese cuisine or sushi, I can definitely recommend the place.
Looking forward to updating this review after my next visit. Thanks...
