Very disappointed!!!
After traveling over 2000 km and selecting this venue as a highlight of our trip due to its promising location and beautiful building, prepaired to take shoots of location for our next youtube videos around the world, we were unfortunately left very disappointed.
First Impressions: The entrance was difficult to locate as there was no visible signage or logo on the building ( it was behind a table on the entrance that we found after). Once inside, we stood for a while without being acknowledged by the staff. Eventually, we chose a table ourselves, at which point someone finally approached us with menus, though their attitude felt less than welcoming.
Food & Value: We inquired about portion sizes before ordering(mixed platter), but what arrived was shockingly small—certainly not suitable for two adults. It felt more like a serving for a single child, which left us feeling both frustrated and let down, especially considering the pricing. Also the order came incomplete without two ingredients...
The one redeeming aspect of this experience was the charm of the building itself, which had great potential. It’s a shame that the service and food did not reflect the same quality.
We truly hope management or the owner can improve the overall experience to match the promise of the venue’s location and design. (Big logo on the entrance, training for the staff, Wifi waiter calling device, big password for wifi, a piano, bigger portions where it should need it to change! ) this are little ideas that I hope it will help you and you will take actions especially that will help you to boost your sales. Wish you...
Read moreEverything about this place made me uncomfortable. I wouldn't say it was terrible, but I did not enjoy my experience.
It began at the entrance when we stood around waiting to be seated, in a near full restaurant, and one server just said, "find your own table". It was very abrupt and after having to wait to be seated almost everywhere else other than cafes, we just assumed. As did everyone we watched come in after us.
Service was almost nonexistent, although when he was there he was nice. Now, it was full, but there were 4 servers, and 3 bartenders. We waited a while to order a drink and a quick snack, and much longer for any of it to come. We watched 2 of the 3 bartenders just stand around laughing and talking.
It wasn't worth the wait. The chips were bland and really dry. I barely ate any. The goose pate was tasteless if it hadn't been for the cranberry sauce -- and it was a huge pile but only came with 2 small pieces of bread. The cocktail was sweet and nothing special, and that's fine, but the garnish made it seem like garbage. For some reason, they garnished it with dead leaves. It was really unappetizing and gave nothing to the flavour. Not even an aroma.
And it was not cheap. So, really slow service and bad drinks and food made it a pretty unfortunate experience.
I watched 2 other tables come in, wait forever for service, and leave without ordering anything.
The old synagogue walls are interesting, but not enough to feel like it's worth it.
So if you're prepared to sit around all evening for mediocre food just because tourist guides talk about the walls, this will be a good...
Read moreI first visited this bar January 2024 with my partner and had a wonderful time, it was a highlight of our trip with delicious pilsners and amazing atmosphere. However today on my return, hoping to show the place off to my friends who have never been, we were all disappointed.
The service was very unwelcoming and we felt very judged and immediately unliked. When I ordered our drinks we had a miscommunication with the server on the name of a cocktail and they did not attempt to hide their impatience and annoyance with us. They then forgot to include a tea that we requested but given the uncomfortable atmosphere and reception we received we were not confident in asking for it again and instead wanted to leave as quickly as possible.
Additionally the cocktail we had was made in seconds, not shaken and didn’t taste good.
Unfortunately the second visit has slightly tainted my overall opinion and enjoyment of this place and when I come back to Krakow in the future I will not make the mistake of...
