The place looks great from the outside as well as from the inside. We were a party of 7 from Norway that wanted a nice place in Sopot to have our first evening meal on a friday. The first dissapointment came when we could not order the Tomahawk from the menu without a 50% raise in the price. The reason was because they did not have the size that was announced in the menu. We all ordered one of their other largest steaks, and happily awaited the arrival of the meal at hand. We waited about 60 minutes before we asked how much longer we had to wait. We then got a "cold" respons that because one of us had ordered the Chateubriand, it would of course take a least 50 minutes. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes before we got our food as ordered. We did not have any appetizers, and we did not get any feedback on the orders. The food was as good as one would expect compared to the high prices. Had the waiter made any attempt to keep us informed, or to appologize for the long wait, we would have tolerated it. When we said we had never waited that long with the exuse of making a Chateaubriand, the waiter laughed out loud. Then went to the kitchen and retold the story to their combined loud amusement. A shame really, because the food was good and the place looked really nice. The long wait and rude respons unfortunately...
Read moreWhere I come from, we have a lot of respect.. not just for people, but for food , for wine and for quality service.. we dont tell in a tourist place you do not speak english,...and if a waitress does not know that a reserve wine must breathe for few minutes...is not my problem,if I tell to the waiter/tress I want to try and serve the wine after this time and get upset...perhaps you dont have the right staff either, is not something about culture is about etnology the 320 polish zloty you ask for this wine have to be served properly, and when someone tell you in advance that is going to take three bottles one or two for dinner and another one to take away...as a restaurant manager you should know how to adress your staff to take care of me because I am going to spend good money. A good restaurant manager knows how to turn a bad situation to a good situation...perhaps you are getting paid for your staff.. instead of cosmopolitan people that enjoy to spend their money with friends or family around the world... I dont care much about people that think i am a guest in your country... When I pay I am not a guest I am a client. If you do not know the difference you have a problem.Gracias por nada.I was told this was one of the best places in Sopot, but...
Read moreI came at Crudo with my 2 brothers, we had an excellent lunch. Our waitress was particularly sympathetic, polite, professional and friendly. I took the beef burger. An excellent choice. The meat was well cooked and a pleasure to eat. Fries were ok. The tagliatelle with shrimps good. Unfortunately my brother didn't read it was spicy. Apart from this detail he really appreciated his plate. The pork ribs were delicious, my second brother is a real meat lover and he loves what he at. We didn't had to wait too much time to be served, maybe 10 to 15 minutes. From the point of view of a customer this is really pleasant. We were sitting inside. It wasn't too much noises, maybe at some moment but nothing prejudicable. There was a really nice atmosphere.
I found two little negative things. Firstly, one of our menu wasn't up to date. We had the old price of the pork ribs. Hopefully our two others menus had the correct prices. Finally, all the outside tables were reserved. I would have appreciated to be outside. However,it's just a small detail.
I higly recommend Crudo to all meat lovers. We weren't disappointed, it was an excellent evening just like the...
